Would any of you ever consider doing something like this? Sounds kind of crazy, especially seeing as they won't actually be going...

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

OK, now I've gotten over my instinctive reaction to that phrase and read the link, why didn't Brood just say he was doing this instead?
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Well, the experiment is flawed even before it begins. Why limit the test subjects options of mental escape?

Why only let the participants bring a suitcase? In ten or twenty years time or when ever they actually try this out, you'd be able to store millions of book, tv and computer game files to a relatively small harddrive. So no need to limit that. If they really expect the crew to have the kind of living quarters we see in the pictures, you could install an interactive environment in the living quarters, putting projections of different scenarie like forests, the sea, outher space on the wall, ceiling and floor with accompanying smells and sounds. You could put plants and animals in there aswell, like goldfish or rodents. Or just give them VR simulations to escape into.

To be honest it doesn't sound that bad, if they've planned it properly. The 10 hours of labor and tests on the other hand sound like they could be awful.
Not sure if 4500 pounds a month makes up for the ordeal.

I think they should test it out first with no normal ways of mental escape and see what their test subjects get up to. Are they able to improvise? What can they do to take their minds off the situation with out music, tv, etc.

Just put in women and men and let them have tons of monkey sex, that should help. Sex in zero gravity, Oh Exploitable.

I'd be fine, so long as they give me an xbox and a stack of books I can spend months and months in there.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

I know for a fact I couldn't do it! Being house bound for a week with a broken leg has nearly driven me mad, never mind three months in a confined space with all of those restrictions. Add the fact that there would be people observing me the entire time and it becomes an automatic fail! :ball:

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.
