The CG's sword was broken by Withal at the end of RG if I'm not mistaken, so I don't see how toc or whoever that is can be wielding it...

Oh yeah, thats right, I forgot. Thanks Het. :)

Still, they do look very similar... I wonder if maybe Withal is drafted in to create another sword especially for Hood's Herald?

Just because they're similar doesn't mean they're related - it might be the artist's impression that is similar, but not actually the swords themselves. It's the same artist as the Reaper's Gale cover, I believe.

Besides, there's no connection between Withal and Toc, as they never met and are on different continents at this point I believe. Plus, who will commission it?
Spoiler
, and Toc isn't going into combat (presumably), he's just riding to the gods of war - why would he need a sword, one SE has to especially bend the plot to provide? It doesn't make sense. After the CG debacle I doubt he would agree to make a sword for a god anyway...

Antiquis temporibus, nati tibi similes in rupibus ventosissimis exponebantur ad necem.

Si hoc adfixum in obice legere potes, et liberaliter educatus et nimis propinquus ades.

The Rider does give off a Tocish vibe. And is it just me, or does the horse have an eye patch?(A little toc reference? :p)

Aye that is a nice cover indeed!
Oh, and an added boon, dead/undead horses do not need feeding.
Which should make them cleaner house guests too.
Though there is the smell of rotting flesh...

What country release you talking about? The UK one I have has Kalam but he does not look like Santa and the only tumbling to be done will be that of the Claws he is about to dispatch. And no Grotto either, tho one could argue the scene is set in the Malaza ghetto...which rhymes with Grotto...sort of...

Zendog...in need of more caffeine.

I guess tiam's talking about the US tBH cover, like this.
Puck was not birthed, she was cleaved from a lava flow and shaped by a fierce god's hands. - [worry]
Ninja Puck, Ninja Puck, really doesn't give a fuck..? - [King Lear]

The sword may look similar but isnt Withal a Meckros smith and even the woman (Letherii trailfinder,
Spoiler
etc name escapes me) recognises the design as far as I recall, seems only fitting hed make sword he was familar with
Hes dead and no one wonders where he got the fancy clothes from, or even the bow! Or the Horse, doubt Hood had them just lying around....wait maybe he did

Trying to convince myself i see two wolves on the shield
