HI guys, this forum is awesome it has answered a lot of questions i had after reading the first two books.

I just finished with deadhouse gates, and read the epilogue where these bonecasters are mentioned.

What is a bonecaster, other than the fact that the are Tllan Imas?

Is the human race in the malazan world derived of the Tllan Imas that didnt choose immortality?

I had trouble decyphering some of your questions, but long story short, a bonecaster is a kind of shaman. The T'lan Imass version of the human mages, a sort of priesthood that leads the Imass into war.

And yes, the Imass that didn't take part in the ritual evolved to become, amongst other races, human. More about that in the next books.
