I find Abyss quite a mystery. I mean, is he (she??) actually a brainz eating cat? And if so, does she (he??) have a human master/slave?

As for DW, I know he is a great guy. His love of fine music proves that. Plus I have met many forum members and know that actually they are all pretty sorted. Not sure about Apt though. I think I would be too scared to meet him. And I think Gothos is not a moody old git IRL. I have a picture of him and Brynjar together...

I can't say there's anyone I'd really like to know more about here. I get along just fine with the people's virtual personas but there's no guarantee it'd work the same way in RL.

Darkwatch.

The first thing that comes in mind as I see that name is Juan Cabrillo and the Oregon. For the people who doesn't know where I'm talking about, I'll give a little explenation where the Oregon Files written by Clive Cussler are about. The book where I'm talking about is called Dark Watch btw.

It's about an Organisation aboard a ship (the Oregon) that is a kind of mercenary company working for the highest bidder, but never for the bad guys. They mostly do covert ops, sometimes even guided by the CIA. Most Operatives were formerly part of Special Forces and those kind of things. Juan Cabrillo is the Chairman of the Organisation while all Operatives are shareholders of the Organisation meaning all will get a share of the payment for a succeeded operation.

The funny thing is that the Oregon looks like a very derilict freighter, when a pilot comes aboard to guide the ship into or out of a harbor, Juan dresses like a shabby smelly captain to make the picture even more complete. But underneath the derilict "shell" the Oregon is a highly modern ship with a very sophisticated propulsion that (that reminds me of the special propulsion from the Red October for the people that have read the Hunt for the Red October from Tom Clancy or for the people that have seen the movie) that has a top speed of 50 knots (no kidding). Besides the propulsion, the ship has also all kinds of armaments.

Yes besides fantasy, I do read other books like fiction. I'm kind of a wolverine concerning books.

Anyway, my question was, where did you get the name from, Darkwatch?

It was part of a series of my first internet accounts back in the day, following my e-mail adress. Dark+something or other as long as it made sense.
