I'm taking vacation time and losing my mind for the next few days.

Intrepid Canadian Pickles Self in Alcohol: Pictures at Eleven
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. She invent-ed medicinal compound
She was efficacious in every case

Otherwise, hope it's going well Rodeo. My alcohol consumption levels have reached a 13 year low. I feel disgustingly well!

I havent made myself vomit from alcohol in 6 days, my liver feels horiffic. It's stopped twinging and hurting, something's wrong.

And what exactly is that song about?! I've sung it before, and not only do I not know why medicinal compound is a good thing, I dont know what it is.

I've broken tents. I've broken chairs. I've broken hearts and dreams. But I've never broken a person by falling on them.

That I know of.

I went drinking last Friday night. It was grand times. But during the week I reviewed the event in my mind and came to the conclusion that I don't remember leaving the bar, the ride home, or getting into bed. At all. Job well done, I say.

Dont you love that? So many times I wake up content that I'm alive until people start asking why the hell I did this, or where I went after that, and who was that you left with...and I realize I remember none of it. Then it's the panic to call around to make sure you didn't do anything foolish, check your vehicle for any damage or dried blood on the bumper, and lastly chack you phone for any drunk texts you might have sent out and begin sending apologies.

God I love drinking.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

I hate it when you have nights like that and some boring schmuck has been with you who doesn't drink so they spend the rest of the week telling you all the silly things you did and said. That was the story of my life when I lived in Bath. They were all so boring, I would get shit faced to make their company palatable and then all the drinking stories would be about me for the next week. I was very glad when I moved back to Manchester where everyone has a more healthy approach to alcohol!!

Oh yea gads, saturday night between 7 pm and, and well waking up with a brutal hangover was that all over for me.

Theres pictures on nightclubs interwebs sites of me with random girls I do not knows in headlocks, wearing a white feather boa (and clothes).

Rumour abound of bad dancing, footprints on bartops and about 4 of us falling over the bar trying to reach for the taps.
Not good.

but mildly amusing when no cuts or abrasions are found

I'm a self-control freak when it comes to alcohol.
combined with my usually high tolerance, that would make me one of the boring people Mezla talks about.

though I don't bug people about it for a week afterwards. I just fill in memory blanks when asked.

i thnk it's due to m,e being a psych major that the idea of losing control and doing something i will not remeber is anathema to me.

I only get blackout drunk in public when I know my good buddies are around. Sure, they might pull some terrible prank on me while I'm in such shape but they'll makes sure I get home alive. Good bunch of bastards.

same as, but my good buddies are mostly in a similar shape.
And their pranks usually involve stealing my phone and contacting ladies that stalk me, for teh lulz obviously. bastards

In a complete contrast to ment I have no self control, I sometimes hit upon the good idea of buying a bottle of wine and drinking it slowly as the rest of them hammer vodka down the hatch. Good intention usually result in my driking a quite frankly disgusting amount of wine and being the drunkest about. (Rumours abound suggesting I put 5 bottles down me two saturday nights ago, I know I've drank 4 before, but 5 is unlikely)

I usually have control of my faculties (to a certain degree) but I regularly have trouble pinpointing details, especially of the things I have said! Anyone who has been to a Manky Meetup will atest to how much I talk after a few units of alcohol are in me. I often lie awake in the morning with a hangover with the terrible feeling that I let some terrible secret or opinion out of the bag but not a clue what it could have been. Not a problem when the people you are with are similarly inebriated.

I have accidentally got really drunk to the point of knowing I am being silly (in terms of safety) on a couple of occasions. Being blind drunk in a town I don't know very well with people I don't know very well has scared me into keeping better tabs on my intake!! You can just imagine the "Girl gets stupidly drunk and raped" headlines!

waking up in the morning and realizing that despite the intense inebriation of the night before you are undressed and in your own bed is one of the best feelings in the world.

waking up in the morning and not recognizing anything on the other hand...

makes for better stories
