Some time ago I did a quick watercolour you-can't-call-it-painting of Moon's Spawn. Four year's later, a quick redo, some technique, but different style.

And the second one is from BH, Imperial Warren. Yes, yes, I know, the ground's supposed to be covered in ashes, BUT we get this description in DG, another one in GotM, yet another one in BH AND yet another one in RotCG. So I suppose there are differences depending on where in the Imperial Warren you are. There you go. I'm no good at landscapes.

I disagree, they are both excellent. They remind me of a famous painter but I can't think who at the moment. Would be nice to see them bigger...

I really like them both, the bottom one reminds me of Van Goghs landscape paintings for some reason. I think it is the choice of colors that does it.

The first one on the other hand is just oozing atmosphere (no pun intended )

The first one is my favourite. Looks very cool.
Though I couldn't have guessed what it was if you hadn't told us

If you look at it sideways, it could be a Tiste Andii face half covered in water...

The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

Yeah, it's a bit shapeless, which happened because I was trying something out and did use brushes only for the ravens and the white paint, the rest was done in another technique.

Well, now that you say it, you're right

Its the second one that rings a bell some how - kinda like a japanese woodblock painting. I love the way you've done the sky, as though its filled with ash blown up from the ground.
