A question for Silanah, on what grounds did you PI Korlat?

i'm here but i don't see much in the last page to really comment on; i'm happy to vote for any of the three since there's decent reason for any one to be scum (whether killer or symp, although for all three symp is more likely).
i'm working on other problems in the meantime.

It was a combination of his general playstyle and how he reacted to pressure. There was no pussyfooting around, trying to weasel out of it, but rather a deliberately combative approach that should no fear whatsoever of OMGUS or the like. I got the distinct impression of someone fishing for responses, as opposed to someone trying to bat away suspicion, and that's what made me think PI. I like to get a handle on the game early, to try and put down initial thoughts about the alignments of the other players. And Korlat rang the PI bell strongly enough in my mind for me to feel it was worth defending him.

Ok, I have to apologise to D'riss. I mixed up you and Serc. It is Serc who I found more suspicious. He was the one who actually laid a vote on Korlat for his "reveal" and then posted the following post, which takes Korlat's remarks out of context and tries to portray them in an altogether different light. This in addition to his rather weird response of simply "no" to a request for him to contribute (I will at a stretch allow that for a poor attempt at humour) has put him on my radar.
I wasn't the first person to point out Korlat's supposed "reveal" - that was D'riss, post 228. I wouldn't even have noticed otherwise.
If D'riss was acting in good faith, he wouldn't have quoted that fake-slip-reveal (which I still don't trust), and put it in bold. And D'riss and Anomandaris were the first two votes - D'riss here:
Quote
All I can say about Korlat is
Vote Korlat
For eather being a fake revealing scum, or too stupid to play his role right in the first place.
I know I won't believe anything he says.

then Kaschan, and so on. I got in on it a while later.
You only needed to actually read the posts in question, instead of deliberately revising events. I was fourth or fifth on the Korlat train.

right, crawled out of bed (duvet in hand) and slogged through the thread. I agree with the red one (cant member if it was telas or gl) about one train being scum, an even spread usually means that the scum is trying to push toward someone else but that hasnt happened, there has been alot of pushing around, but korlat and silanah have been steady at the top. driss i could imagine as a symp, but i think theres more ont he other two. ano is still very middle of the road.
@shadow - wtf dude?
happy where my vote is, but its possible that both korlat and silanah are scum i just dont think we would be that lucky.
heading to bed.

Well I personally don't see what the case against Sil is.. could someone enlighten me?
Ill remove my vote on Korlat as people seem very adament of his innocence though if he isn't nk'd tonight, I might go after him tomorrow..
Im now starting to lean towards the D'riss case because I didn't really like his gameplay ad thought it might change but it hasn't shown much difference..

@kaschan:

Silanah's being seen as defending korlat vehemently, unnecessarily in fact. Since we're discounting lovers due to tmdi:2, the only reasons for such a defense (realistically) would be construed as fake-symping, symping, or signalling a target to a killer.

Considering what role I believe Kaschan to have, his response to the train on Silanah is actually quite heartening.

So you want to lynch off the symp instead of the master... that doesn't make sense if he is the symp as he will just come up as inno..

Paraphrasing GL's "case" and whhat those who have built upon it offered up -
Driss went after Korlat for a supposed fake reveal that may or may not have been sarcasm, depending on who you ask. Sil hops in and defends him, going so far as to say he PIed Korlat (although for the life of me I don't know why). And was so sever in his defense he looked scummy, his defense when questioned was, he thought Korlat inno and spoke up, and he hasn't deviated from that path. Most(including me) think at best hes a symp, but better to hit a symp than an inno.
At least thats how I see it. O, and he is also apparently my partner and you are symping both of us, and I am probably only voting him to distance. At least thats what Korlat thinks, but of cours, he is a dick bag, so who cares what he thinks right? *sarcasm

*sigh* I've already responded to this strange failure of yours to grasp one of the simpler mechanics of the symp role, but I guess it benefits you more to ignore it than try to come up with a viable counter.

Thus my thoughts of Korlat being scum, which he has aptly avoided.
