Hmmmm
I must just say that when i read korlats "reveal" i didnt really consider it as a honest reveal.
His entire post was seriously sarcastic.
Sure...he implied he was a finder and that is strange.
But in the context of his entire post i can see he was definitely not serious.
But D'riss (and Ano..i little) feel its prudent to out inno slips?
And then place votes on them?
WTF?

Vote D'riss
I am not sure what he is playing at...he gets my vote.

Wow, seems I killed the thread.
I'm here...and i totally agree about D'riss.
The only thing is that i think his bullying attitude and his "outing" of a potential finder slip is all signs that he is more likely a symp.
After all a killer wont want to bully and definitely does not nee to reveal to the thread of a potential slip.
I think he is signaling his killer boss as to who might be roled.

I personally don't mind the people who do what D'riss is doing... thats their problem if they feel like excluding themselves from conversation
Ill leave my vote on Korlat for now... he is dead weight as I don't think he can be trusted now...

In a non-CF game, I believe that "symp" cases are as valid as killer cases, and I have no problem voting based on that. My current vote is actually on someone who I think is more probably a symp.

I agree with you that D'riss has been being less than helpful in this thread. I'm unsure as to whether it is intentional obfuscation or not, but if he is innocent, he should really stop it.

It is his problem mainly, aye - and I don't mind pressuring people either, but tunnelvision is something that we cannot afford in a game where we have no confirmation whether or not we're on the right track.
And GL makes a good point that every lynched scum is one. I don't expect D'riss to be a killer - it's not the typical behavior, as said, but a symp is the mouthpiece and marker for the killer(s) and his behavior is, for me, indicative of trying to run the flock, which is scummy.

ofcourse, normally voting for a symp is not on...but no CF...i take what i can get.
Also...this symp case is not based on actual symping of anybody, but rather general symp like behaviour.

since there are two different teams of scum, i dont think lynching him today would be the best idea.
Afterall...he might just be a finder...and the killer/other killer will surely take him out now. just because of the slight chance he is the other scum, or the actual finder.
edit - too many of the same word

With 2 different teams of scum Im guessing that neither is going to kill him as either they think the other will or they think he is an easy lynch target tomorrow..
I don't believe we can trust his reveal and I don't think that anything he reveals as a find can be considered truth.. therefore he is dead weight and possible scum.

Though I guess if he is a killer, he will be killed by the other one. But as I said, the other killer might just think he is an easy lynch target and kill someone else... there really is no way around it..

Why cant you trust his reveal?
If anyone reveals finder, its the same setup, you either believe or you dont...there isnt much we can do to ever be sure.

Not that i even think he revealed mind you.
As i said...reading through the thread i got the distinct impression that is was all a sarcastic quip aimed at Anomanders outburst.
The fact that D'riss screamed off the hilltops that someone has potentially revealed finder is rather disturbing.
Hence my vote.

How can we trust it? With no CF, any scum can reveal finder..

Here. And Caught up on the thread. Wasn't complete spam which makes a nice change.
Ok some points: Gamelon its not funny its a little weird. That big list isn't working. If you've got a bit of a serious case to make, could you make it again? I read all your posts as you just pissing about and I have no idea what your doing.
Reading through the Anom/Korlat/Telas stuff.
Starting out it looked rather like Korlat and Telas were teamed up the way they were both getting into Anom and I thought they came across a little scummy and pushy.
Then came the Finder thing from Korlat and its gone weird.
When I first read it, I was skimming quite quickly and like Silanah didn't read Finder into it as such. Then Anom? pointed it out - which I find scummy myself, along with D'riss for voting for it.
If someones made a possible slip about being a Finder, why would you point that out and vote for it?? Its incredibly scummy so WTF are you playing at? I mean it was one line in a paragraph, it hardly read as a fake reveal.
If I see a potential Finder slip I shut my mouth about it. Not point it out saying possible Finder and then get a vote going on it.
Still heaps of time at our disposal so I'll see how it goes.
I believe I was the second to last to check in, whose missing?

driss pointed it out. One common tactic as scum is to hint at roles and not claim them thus people pi them in their mind, this read liek a reveal and has caused lots of confusion so is doing a good job of muddying the water. to dismiss it off hand when it isnt a hint but a blatant fish in the face is scummy and the subsequent jumping up and down of people is quite funny as it seems the game is split into two big groups. personally i dislike uncertainty in mafia, and a few days down the line we will be, why isnt korlat dead? and yet not do anything about it.

You don't get do you? Even if he is real he is useless. He can't be taken seriously there is no CF!
The same is true of any finder who happens to reveal. There's no way we could verify their claims, but that doesn't mean that we should automatically dismiss all reveals as fake. In any case, from my point of view it is essentially you revealing Korlat as a possible finder. Neither myself nor Emurlahn caught that as a slip, and I'm sure there are many others who wouldn't have thought anything of it if you hadn't pointed it out. But if you notice something like that, you hold it close to your chest surely? As far as I can see, only the killers gain if you shine a spotlight on someone who might be a finder.
EDIT: Spelling
If driss was the killer he would have no reason to point this out to anyone. therefore at worst he is the symp. As for your last statement, this is just not true in my opinion, when someone reveals even in humour on day 1 there is definitely something fishy going on, and it drew votes from a lot of people. Korlat has made of himself a lynch target for the rest of the game, and carrying those over, much like tapper weas a few games ago after his day 1 killer rp, gives the killers viable lynch targets on days when they will be more exposed due to the lesser numbers.
That said i am 50/50 on korlat, there are quite a number of things in his playstyle that rang alarm bells with me, but i am happy with leaving my vote on you as you are trying to keep him around and you do seem scummy as a result.

Finders shouldn't reveal but rather build cases against people that are found as scum and defend those who they know are innocent..

I have to disagree here, a common tactic is not to "hint" at being roled.
At least not in the way it would seem that korlat did it.
Hinting at being roled is never a good idea when being scum.
People first look for roled behaviour...THEN decide if they could be scum.
In any case, all of this has no bearing in this game, as killers most definitely dot want to look like they are roled as the other killer team will take them out asap.
