Hi everyone, I'm here for an hour or so.
Let me first just say I'm shocked that a day-vig has been used on Day 1 - just seems like such a waste when the chances of actually being correct are so low. Not sure I agree with the conclusion that GL jumped to about it being the work of the jester though. I somehow doubt Jesus would be carrying a gun around and offing people, doesn't seem to fit. I think it's more likely someone suddenly got convinced about Kesso being scum for some reason - disappointingly poor play from whoever it was.
So, looking over the thread (it's nice to be able to do that without it being overly spam clogged, thanks to most of you for your restraint), there are a few other occurrences I feel I should comment on:
The initial train on Emurlahn: no matter how hard I try, I just can't picture scum starting a train like that. And yeah, I know that's WIFOM, but I really don't think any of us have the balls to pull something like that off as a killer. Seems like Rashan and Korlat were the main instigators, so I'm more suspicious of Anomandaris and D'riss on that score. I've already made my feelings on D'riss' love of Spam clear. Ano has done an awful lot of RP posturing, but there was one post of his that I found interesting:
Anomandaris, on Mar 5 2009, 06:12 PM, said:
Man all of this jester WIFOM seems like scum trying to get rid of our lynch options. Calling every one a possible jester allows the scum to hide in plain sight which makes the person doing the calling into a cock. Really the WIFOM has gotten to be so much that it seems like some people don't want a lynch to happen at all.
I don't really see the logic behind this post. The scum aren't going to be able to whittle down the field by themselves, they need us to lynch fellow innos, or this game is going to last a very long time. So as long as we're not targetting them, you'd have thought they'd be trying to be supportive of lynch trains forming. Plus, the chances of us hitting the Jester this early are the smallest they're ever going to be, so it is imperative that we get a lynch in today to give us something to go on early. And the Jester certainly isn't going to want us not to lynch anyone...so I would have expected everyone to want a lynch today.
Anyhow, willing to keep my vote on D'riss for the time being, still digesting all the stuff that's coming up about Gamelon...
