Saw it in a bookshop today. Its six or seven pages. Here is what I remember.

Edited for Mithfanions numbers and SLs spelling corrections.

****** SPOILERS ******

Part one is in the time of the Elder Gods. A huge battle has taken place on the K’Chain Che Malle home continent. (the one covered in flagstones mentioned in HoC). A force of 400,000 Tiste Andii and 200,000 Edur has defeated the last K’Chain army of Matrons, short-tails and Kell Hunters. Only 18,000 Edur and 1,000 Andii have survived. (Must have been one hell of a battle, the Tiste unveiled Starvald Demelain, ,Kurald Galain and Kurald Emurlahn simultaneously. The Andii took on 60,000 Kell Hunters, thus suffered heavier losses). The Edur leader is an iron-grey soletaken dragon called Scabandari Bloodeye (Brilliant name!). The Andii are led by an albino soletaken dragon (sound familiar?) called Silchas Ruin.
They resume human form to discuss the battle. Bloodeye stabs Ruin and the Edur massacre the surviving Andii. Ruin cannot be killed though (no explanation why) so Bloodeye drags him to the nearby Azath house which has mysteriously appeared on the plain to the south.
He is watched from a distance by Gothos, who unveils Omtose Phellack to call up ice to destroy the Edur. He is prevented from doing so by Mael, who persuades him to let him do the job along with Kilmandaros, another elder god (who she?).

Part two is set in Burns sleep 1133. Withal, the sole survivor of the destruction of the floating city of Meckros is washed up in the Crippled Gods warren. CG says he spared him deliberately so that he could enslave him. Withal is a swordmaker and CG wants him to make “a very particular sword”.

How many Robert Jordans does it take to change a light bulb?
