At least you didn't take her to see Saw 4.
Even if the girls tells you she really wants to see it, don't see a horror movie. People dying horribly gruesome deaths is a real mood killer, apparently. Lesson learned.

Uhm, MTB, I have never had a girl over to watch horror films with me, that hasn't turned into a make-out session.
Watching scary films is a classic excuse for sitting close together, "comforting" each other, etc.

Apt knows the truth. But i don't like horror movies so it has to be a very hot girl to persuade me

I know, it's usually me that's a blubbery mess half way through the film

I remember one particular instance watching the remastered version of the exorcist, never having seen it before. When that "upside down crawling down the staircase like a bug" scene came up I was completely freaked out.

Well, perhaps this girl was a freak of nature then. We made out for a little bit, true, but once things got really horrific she kind of retreated inside herself. It was weird. Subsequent comforting tactics failed.
Oh God, that scene was creepy as fuck. Good movie though.

Ah, you missed the "Lets have sex instead of watching that"-window. Rookie mistake

I was in a movie theater, not at home, so that option was unavailable without being arrested.

Ooh. Okay I admit, watching a horror flick on a date in the cinema is not a great move. At home, great potential, out in the city not so smart.
Of course, a real man would have went for it "Arrest for public indecency" be damned...

We went and saw this movie last night and it was fantastic. WOW just WOW.... We left the theater thinking that it was his best movie.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

I actually can't bring myself to watch and of Tarantino's other works since either the trailers made me shake my head at how ridiculous the movie seemed or I just wasn't interested.
That being said, I enjoyed IB, but thought I could've done without chapters 1,3, and 5. A movie entirely about the Basterds would've been preferable to all of the cinema B S - even though all of the subtle hints and acting through the entire movie were amazing.

The movie was great. It did seem torn between wanting to be two different films though. It would have benefited from being a two parter, one for each of the major story arcs.

Huh, I loved the twin plotlines. Sure I would've liked to have seen a bit more of the basterds. But better to want more and see less than see too much of them. And really, with the scenes you got, did it leave anything to the imagination what they were about?
Loved the movie.

I loved it too, but think that two hours of nothing but the basterds would have been sweeeet.

I know what you mean Zanth. Something unsatisfying. It should have been two separate movies/
