Well, As I see it, it wasn't the case that struck me. The case by itself garnered no real reaction. However, The way the attention on Kas was reacted too was very eye opening at least for me. You see it started wth Korlats seeming to freak out a bit over the case. Kas tried to act disinterested, but with Korlat defending so strongly, then switching his vote from Gri...Galain, to Kas, seemed stranger still, almost as if he were distancing. Following that Kas basically gave up, saying, I don't care if I get lynched. Throw into the mix, GL casting a quick vote on Galain, and then starting the spam cycle back up, I would say we have 3 on the same team. The spam started up, along with several, who can kill who posts, and then someone (I'll go look in a minute)threw out a response to GL saying no one was defending Kas. Thats pretty hard evidence day one, IMO.

As to anyone else acting suspicious or seeming to code, its hard to see through all that spam.

I'll say one thing about Galain's tactics - if he had something he needed to hide in there, it would be pretty tough for anyone to find it. It also discourages people from doing rereads, which means we're far less likely to be able to spot early clues and stuff.

I've just reread the part with Korlat's overreaction, and it seems more suspicious every time I look at it. Especially him changing votes to Kaschan, that was just bizarre. All in all, there's enough there for me to:

This thread has been painful to read. I really hope Galain does tone it down a bit, because otherwise people won't be able to keep up. And what's worse is that there is some actual discussion, albeit on crappy cases, hidden in there somewhere, but it is damn hard to find because everything is buried in spam, and not the good kind that may somehow factor into the game, but the rubbish kind, which vapourises minds.

Yeah, as I say, it could quite easily be some kind of smokescreen to hide any slips and slides he doesn't want to be found. Having said that, he has essentially buried his own case in there...

Either way it's an annoying tactic, but given that he has managed to root out something interesting for Day 1 as well it has paid off, I guess.

I saw that someone else had suggested that Galain was trying to draw NK attempts as he was a high up, and that possiblity crossed my mind quite a lot earlier, when the annoyingness level was through the roof and it all seemed a bit forced. But if you think someone isn't able to be NKed easily, you have to try and lynch them.

Spam like all other things is nice in moderate quantities. Overdoses are usually dangerous though.

honestly, the way it looks is Galain buried any and all criticism to his "case" in an avalanche of spam.
so that people would read the first few pages where he posts his "case" then start wading through the spam-covered rebuttals, give up, go to the last page ansd just vote Kaschan.

It appears to be working, too.

If you look back the Kaschan case seems to have come out of a misunderstanding, it gained momentum because of Korlat and Kaschans reaction to it from what i can see.
