Rake vs Draconus My kingdom for a quote

A while ago, someone stated that the fight between Rake and Draconus lasted three days and everyone seems to have picked this tidbit up.
I don't remember this myself and I was wondering if someone could point me at the page number or give us the quote?

Ι dont think such a quote exists in the MBOTF
It could still be in one of ICE's books

Ah. It could have been in the book Rake gave to Baruk in Toll the Hounds - the one about the Ten Thousand Gods or something.
I can't remember the exact quote, or location, but I'm fairly certain it exists. Whether it is true or not...who can say?

Odd. I would have expected Rake to Dragnipur Draconus quickly, while he wasn't looking.

Rake didn't have Dragnipur silly AIJ, Draconus did
To be honest, I suspect that the 3 day battle is a hoax. Every other fight we've ever seen in the series is fast and furious and lasts less than minutes. Even if Rake and Draconus was exactly evenly matched, something else would have decided the battle.

That's what made me think it might have been from the document Baruk was reading. It wasn't exactly...accurate.

So...does that mean Rake stole Dragnipur at the last minute and killed Drac with it?

Maybe it happened a la Rake vs Traveller: somehow Draconus made a mistake and Dragnipur rebounded on him.
Anyway as soon as that Rake trilogy comes out we'll know how much the fight exactly lasted and how Draconus got himself dragnipured

Might be a comment with an Envy reference in it.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I thought it was stated somewhere that Envy was at least partially responsible for Draconus falling to Rake.

In MoI she says that she didn't help him, and stood aside, and Rake replies that Draconus knew not to look to her for help.
