It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

If I'm not mistaken Bottle wonder sin his internal monologue if losing a highmage was worth 800 marines.

Good...I seem to remember the number 500. Actually, I'm pretty sure that number was used.

800 or 600 at the "siege" of Letheras i think... and lets add 200 to death list in the city (it was only about to get hairy) and then they poably recrut more eather betwen RG and DoD or in the start of DoD

I seriously doubt 200 died taking Letheras. It caved worse than when the Edur came in... Fid's party was the advance group, the rest held up after entering the city. They "needed relief" because they were packed together, pinnned-down, and had been invading non-stop for a couple weeks.

200 would be a 25% mortality rate. You think that is "few"?

I just don't want to find out they number so few as to be ineffectual...

Even when a ton died in Y'Ghatan, they converted the 3rd Company (8th Legion) to become new marines so no matter how many are lost there's still going to be more...

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Who thinks the rest of the 14th is up to a campaign in the east? Granted, they will probably be supported by the Perish but after the battle they had against the Letherii what are your respective opinions?
