So I'm watching some specials that BBC America is playing and I hear from 1 lady that she played Susan, the Drs grand daughter. What's up with that?

Also omg the 6th Drs companion Peri was fucking HAWT back in the day. Wow.

Speaking of this special:

WTF did Pond do to her hair?? She is definitely not pulling off the Annie Lennox look. Shirley Manson could rock it. But Karen Gillian?

Nope, he actually is on record as saying that he's in it... to a newspaper earlier today. It's all over the internet tonight.

And already pointed out:

But what happened to Susan? She alive or dead?

Oh, sorry didn't know what you meant.

She's alive, AFAIK. Last appearance would have been in one of the recent Big Finish audio's. When he left her, she was still alive and we've never heard different.

Oh cool. So the Drs bloodline continues. I wonder if we ll see that in the future ever with more Timelords?

Aside from a few Big Finish audio's she's not shown up since One...so I doubt it.

In prep for the 50th, recorded the retrospectives on each Doctor. Watched up through the Fourth so far. Nothing earth-shatteringly great, but since I haven't watched Classic Who in dog's years it's nice to review.

Jon Pertwee is still the man. :) Wish I could get away with wearing cloaks.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

There are a few BIG treats in those....the 2nd DOCTOR story they show (TOMB OF THE CYBERMEN), and the 6th Doctor story (VENGEANCE ON VAROS) are both well worthy of the time...though I'm a tad disappointed that they did PYRAMIDS OF MARS for 4th....THE TERROR OF THE ZYGONS would have been a much better choice. Still, Sarah Jane wearing Victoria's dress in that one is nice.

The best bits about that one are the sky trenches, and the Gallifreyan solider armor. But otherwise...meh.

I didn't understand that one a bit. Lol

It was at the top of a lookout tower in the Gallifreyan capital city of Arcadia (the Doctor's / Time Lords home planet), and soldiers were basically professing how their jobs were useless because sky trenches keep ALL enemies out...and then the Daleks inexplicably break through and attack. this is the very first day of the long and arduous Time War.

In the Series 2 finale DOOMSDAY the the four Daleks who make up the Cult of Skaro ask the Tenth Doctor who he survived the Time War, he replies:

“By fighting. On the front line. I was there at the fall of Arcadia. Someday I might even come to terms with that.”

The Fall of Arcadia happens near the end of the Time War...and from the trailers for THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR, we will see the fall.

It should also be noted that Rassilon (Timothy Dalton in THE END OF TIME PART II) is already Lord President as his symbol/family crest is embossed on the High Guard armor ion that minisode.

Yup.

David Bradley was great. Scary how similar the actors looked to the people they were portraying too, IMHO.

also, check the google doodle......

EDIT - also, Greggs (a bakers in the uk) - New snack.....
