I would not think so. Io9 is just a pop culture aggregate site, they often link to stuff...but they wouldn't be hosting anything that would need you to log in, did you try the BBC America site?

I am quite sick of every episode being a two-parter, what happened to the solid single episodes and subtle hints (if any) to the finale rather than shoving it in your face.

I prefer two-parters. Doctor Who under Steven Moffat has always been much better storywise when allowed the room to breathe. Like Classic Who which was always split up into multiple half hour eps (usually 4 to 6 parts). I think this year is just the answer to the last two seasons worth of almost all standlone eps (note the two parter in S7 AND 8 are DARK WATER and DEATH IN HEAVEN). After two full years of no two parters bar one, I don't think it's a lot to ask to have a plethora of them again.

I like a mix of stand alone with two parters.
Not that I'll get what I like, but if they're going to go with all two parters then I don't want to see a cliffhanger at season break.

I'm enjoying the two parters - no more heroic theme and running about at bang on 33 minutes! however, I enjoyed The Girl Who Died. A mixture of the two is probably the best bet.

The Girl Who Died is the first part of a two parter with this week's The Woman Who Lived.

Oh man, I've been waiting for this news ever since Big Finish announced that River would feature in a some Eighth Doctor audios.
David Tennant and Catherine Tate are returning to play Ten and Donna for some Big Finish Audios!
http://www.doctorwho...tures-76290.htm
Now, if the door is open for Tennant (the RTD-era contracts with the BBC specified that NuWho Doctor's were off limits to BF...seems to have been overturned)...then I don't think it will be long before we get new Eleven, Amy, and Rory eps with Matt Smith, Keren Gillan, and Arthur!

I saw it, I was unsure what you were talking about. Torchwood is continuing in Big Finish audios (featuring John Barrowman)...but not on TV. Was it just the mention of Jack?

"I did travel with another immortal once. Captain Jack Harkness."
"Who?"
<pause> "He'll be around to you eventually."
"Who told you...about me? The man who cancels the battle and runs away from the fallout?"
"Take your pick. You've had an impact on this world. You've made waves."
"Sometimes tidal waves."
"I'm flattered."
"Well you should be. You're an extraordinary woman. But. I think I'm going to have to keep an eye on you."
"No."
"No?"
"Someone has to look out for the people you abandon. Who better than me? I'll be the patron saint of the Doctor's leftovers. While you're busy protecting this world, I'll be busy protecting it from you."
On the re-watch I suppose it's not what I was hoping. But she'll definitely be back for more episodes.

She is back, reports of her in Ep10 already. And clearly she's to do with Clara's end on the series as well since Jenna is leaving.
As to Jack...I'd love for him to be back...and considering River is back at Christmas...anything is possible.

BK, heads up. Wizard World New Orleans has Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Jenna Coleman attending. Not sure if you'd be into that, but just wanted to give you the heads up. I've met all three and Karen and Matt especially are SUPER nice.

Really enjoyed last nights episode. Capaldi was excellent i thought.
One thing though - the series is really missing the middle 8 in the theme. Best part of the iconic tune in my mind

I've got a feeling that something very bad is going to happen to Clara. And it's going to drive the Doctor a bit evil for awhile. All these comments from various folks about keeping the planet safe.

Oh, I fully 100% expect Clara to die before season's end.

Well since Jenna is leaving the show (She's now gonna be young Queen Victoria dontchaknow), and we know that the Christmas Special is Twelve and River Song (Alex Kingston)...I fully expect Clara to bite it before seasons' end.
That said, the strongest going theory is that Clara is already dead. That as we began the season (and in the prequel webisode) the Doctor already is aware of her death...and that the entirety of S9 so far has been him traveling back along their timeline together and going on fresh adventures with her at points where he was absent in the existing timeline. That this is why the Doctor has largely dropped his posher, be-shirted look and stuck with the drab disheveled hoodie look (and more unkempt hair) and the addition of mid-life crisis stuff like the guitar and the sonic sunglasses. That all of this is a gut response to the fact that the Doctor already knows Clara is dead and during season 9 he's aware of where she's headed...he tried to keep her from going on the ghost/FisherKing adventure at all, there has been multiple dialogue hints:
“Today might be the day […] the day I kill you” Missy, The Magician’s Apprentice
“Please, save Clara” The Doctor, The Magician’s Apprentice
“Who’s going to tell me that Clara Oswald is really dead?” The Doctor, The Witch’s Familiar
“Don’t go native.” The Doctor, Under the Lake
“I’m changing history to save Clara.” The Doctor, Before the Flood
“A good death is the best anyone can hope for.” The Doctor, The Girl Who Died
“One day, the memory of [Clara] will hurt so much I won’t be able to breathe,” The Doctor , The Girl Who Died
“[Ashildr] might meet someone she can’t bear to lose. That happens, I believe.” The Doctor , The Girl Who Died
“She’ll die on you, y’know.” Me, The Woman Who Lived
“I’m not going anywhere. ” Clara, The Woman Who Lived ( < ----this one is most telling)
And then we can couple that with their interaction in the TARDIS at the end of THE ZYGON INVERSION. I forget the actual dialogue, but the look on Twelves face said it all. Something is awry for SURE.
But yeah the theory says that all this is about Clara being already dead, and the Doctor mid-life crisising through it.
