I don't "believe" as much as to keep in mind we're not certain of it. I mean, if you have his role PM that mentions you are a leader of your faction, and that you can chose someone to be your bodyguard and protect you against night and day action, you'll just ignore it? Like I said, I can't see what else could be happening so I'll accept it, but the fact remains something is strange.

Ok, I am here for a minute and then I have some RL things to do before work. Anyway, I just am not sure about Kesso. He seemed like a decent target because of his actions, but I don't want to risk hitting a team mate, and since Thyr voted for him, I don't think he is a Julii. So that leaves on lynch target and a couple of others that probably couldn't swing the vote. I would prefer to go with Ampelas really, but I'll switch my voteto Thyr when I get back, if it looks like Ampelas isn't gaining any steam. Oh, my reasons for Ampelas are pretty easy to figure out, kind of loud trying to hide in plain sight, hasn't really had any content in his posts. That kind of thing. Something I think a leader might try to do. Thyr has at least a goal we are aware of, find MA, so we have a common goal there, I would say keep him alive until we get MA, but thats just me, and I feel we need a lynch. So I will

PURE SPECULATION -

but dont be so sure of anything, by the role description itself it could be that thyrllan is in fact the bodyguard of octavian. Our finder cannot reveal until day 3, so who is to say they actually targetted thyrllan? i recall pathshaper explaining this though, need to check.

remember also that there have been roles in the past which allowed players to make pathshaper and others post certain messages. thyrllan cant counter reveal because its against the rules, or even hint at his real role. that could be a very carefully constructed ruse by the real octavian to push pressure on another player. This is tmdi 9, expect the unexpected.

Oh the good thing about speculation like this just makes it more necessary to remove thyrllan.

Way to go, look at him planning ahead like that! Gotta admire someone who expects to live past night 1, especially with 3 different factions running around. Its almost as though he knows something we don't....

I'm FAIRLY certain the team distributions aren't 7:7:6, as some have suggested. I thing that Julii have an almost majority now, and they were handicapped by having 2 competing leaders, and being unable to recruit while both are alive. Ending the Julii power struggle would only help the Julii atm, I agree with that.
The way Rashan has been pushing for the Octavian lynch makes me think HE is MA.

OK, finally caught up. What a day - things seems pretty heated. The way I see things is as such:

Whether to vote Thyr depends solely on whether he is balanced against Marc Anthony or whether MA is a primary recruiter. I must admit that I got the impression the they were balanced, but I'm not gonna fight with people over it.

The main objection to them being balanced against each other is that it would disadvantage the Julii, but I'm not 100% sure about this - for one the Julii leaders both know all of their members. This in itself is pretty strong. Secondly we're assuming that the teams start nearly equal and that the other two factions can recruit from the start. Either of those two things could be wrong.

I think the reason that Octo (and most likely MA) get told their teammembers names is to 1) choose a bodyguard and 2) Narrow down the pool in which to search for their opponent. I'm not 100% sure how this tells that MA can recruit from the beginning, which seems to be Rashan's thinking.

Thyr's bodyguard thing means that the other factions can constantly vig him and be guaranteed of hitting a random Julii. This would be an awesome mechanic to exploit. Problem is Thyr seemingly didnt use it today, he might possibly not use it in the future for exactly the reason just stated.

So - reasons to vote for Thyr:

He's not in my faction. Seems a no brainer but

reasons not to vote for Thyr:

Exploit the bodyguard thing
We know exactly who he is and what he does, which at this point isnt anything dangerous
Could possibly give the Julii recruiting power they possibly lack.
Whether they are balanced or not, if we lynch Thyr MA recruits tonight.

So I want to vote for Thyr, it's the easy choice. But it seems to me doing so could very easily backfire and now I'm paranoid. And I have no idea who else to vote for
