A quick question but it's really bothering me. I am currently reading RotCG but who were the three women in Possums point of view. The one in black who took out the Avowed? The one in grey who showed up after and the Mage who put a knife to Possums throat. Feel free to spoil I really am curious and want to know.

She was using an illusion to hide her appearance.

Kiska herself says to Tays 'I shadowed a female Claw - or someone who resembled a Claw. She was hunting Avowed. I saw her stalk and kill two - bare handed.'

So, I'd agree with Uriz - the three were Laseen, Kiska and Taya.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I'm sure it wasn't Kiska, it was Coil.

It seems to be too big a coincidence that Kiska has been following Laseen around, watching her kill Avowed; and Possums POV sees a second female Claw turn up just after Laseens killed an Avowed.

And Kiska tells Tays about this, shortly after the incident, a few pages later..

Thanks, for the responses and I finally finished the book. I have Kiska as well as the women in grey and Laseen as the one killing the avowed but still don't know who killed Laseen.

We know that Vorcan's daughter is there, she is the one who threatens Possum and keeps him from interfering with Laseen's fight. She is gauging Lassen's ability, and the following person inspects the body... Wait, wasn't the Imperial High Mage in the library at that point researching "jhistal"? Yes. Nevermind my earlier statements... It was Laseen, the daughter, and Kiska.

Ok, this leads me then to two more question.

Vorcans daughter is half demon? (I completely missed this revelation)
Why did she want to kill Laseen?

Yes, if you re-read the bit at the start where Mallick visits Taya, it makes a lot more sense having read the end. She believes that Vorcan was killed in Daru', when in fact she was still 'sleeping' in the Azath house.

Taya worked for Mallick. He sent her to kill Laseen. That Taya also had a personal grudge was a motivational bonus.

For the record, I had Laseen kill the avowed, Taya check after and Kiska surprise Possum, but i suppose Coil/Hava is a contender for the latter two, tho i doubt it.

- Abyss, notes Vorcan is a big skanky demon-shagging ho.

Taya was the one who caught Possum, as she says to him

'Lets see what she's got.'

She knows that it's Laseen they're watching, and she's sizing her up, watching her moves, for when she eventually strikes.

Kiska later tells Tay she doesn't know who the Avowed-killer was, so I'd guess she was the one seen checking the dead one, as she is dressed as a Claw. Taya is an assassin, but is not described as looking like a Claw, who all dress pretty much the same.

The avowed killer is Laseen. That bits kind of obvious by now I think.

We can be pretty certain that ONE of the other two is Kiska from what she says to Tay afterwards. My moneys on it being the one following Laseen rather than the one surprising Possum. She is described as Possum as being dressed as a claw which Kiska pretty much is.

The one surprising Possum by putting a dagger to him would be Taya from my guess. We know, from Mallick's POV that Taya is quite hot, something which Possum confirms for us. Also, as far as we know, she'd also be the only female who would want to stop anyone from helping Laseen (which is what she did when she put the dagger to Possum) without killing any claws. There are plenty of other people that it COULD be, but Taya is just the most likely one.
