Personally I'm excited but I'm a bit dubious on the basis of the concept. Has he suddenly come up with some serious financial backers?

I ordered both the comicbook and the Alphabet of Manliness when they came out so I'll keep my attention on it. It's just a shame/weird that he updates his page so infrequently. A lot of his popularity and edge has sort of disappeared over the years.

Funny web-clip, but I see nothing indicating he is actually producing a real show.

the vague genre clip is pretty old, but the news hes making his own show is new, and hes right, apart from his ott claims about ruling the universe and jackhammering trekkie nerds int he face, Maddox doesn't boast about stuff unless its happening, I'm thinking a less frequent version of Ze Franks one year project the show.
