but I somehow doubt Icarium's sword would but through Vengeance, BairothDelum, or Dragnipur. Hence why they are all on the same/similar level, imo.

If you consider, however, your argument against Dragnipur - then what do we base a weapon's power on? How do we judge these things, when we don't have every example possible? Has Rake fought a T'lan Imass? Has Icarium done the same to a T'lan Imass without being in his rage? If we take things on face value, Dragnipur is a sword that people see, and go HOLYSHITWTFISTHAT.

Your honour, the counsel is speculating! ;) But I do agree to your points in principle. I could say that the reason people are awed by Dragnipur is a) Rake is wielding it. b ) Due the gate present in it, it has some sort of area effect where some sort of pressure/smoke is felt by those around.
But this is something that can be laid to rest only if they face each other. Which is something I wish would happen. But I finally got my copy TtH :GA: . And will read it throughly to further add to this arguement and also to look into this affect that Dragnipur has on inanimate objects (which you had mentioned).

I don't need to compromise my principles, because they don't have the slightest bearing on what happens to me anyway.

Also, when thinking about the ability of swords you must include the wielder too.
For example if there is Karsa and his sword (its own warren plus all the souls) againts a T'lan Immas and their sword, well it's obviuos who the winner is. Alot is also down to the power/will of the wielder. The T'lan Immas could not withstand Karsa so neither could the sword.
A sword is unbreakable unless someone more powerful than the wielder/maker/person who invested the magic in the first place of the sword.
A river ever changes in time, but who marks out the new course?
