wow, tough decisions on whether to leave Mockra alive. He could be a valuable source of info and helpful if he tags evil... or a major source of disinformation if he manages to tag one of the 2-3 remaining goods. Hard telling. With only 2-3 roled left (admittedly that number is a guesstimate) We might want to let him have a night and see what happens. Not sure why you would reveal though... now you are a prime lynch and NK target

I agree with this for the most part. After initially saying I accepted the reveal (despite misreading it :p), I got down to considering the possibility that he might have lied about the result from his vote. Here are the possible scenarios I came up with.

1) He's telling the truth. Implication: Gamelon is not a Ghostbuster, but is innocent (that's assuming that only hitting a Ghostbuster would entail hitting someone 'good').

2) He's actually good now because Gamelon was evil. This one doesn't really make sense - if he was good he would probably tell us about Gamelon's evilness, thus giving us the possibility of a lynch. Though he would get NKed unless one of the remaining Ghostbusters has a heal...

3) He's evil, as Gamelon is a GB. This one doesn't really make all that much sense either. If Gamelon is a GB, why clear him? Surely it would make more sense either keep quiet and try and manipulate a lynch (suspicions have already been raised about him, after all, I'm sure it would be possible to put a case together), or to declare Gamelon as evil and himself as good, and ask that he be guarded to prevent NK. Depending on whether he thought he would be believed, he might managed to kill off another GB before attention turns on him.

4) He's evil, he actually guarded a GB and ended up knowing that Gamelon was scum, letting him clear him with a fake reveal today.

Of the 4, I think 2 & 3 can probably be discounted, so it's either 1 or 4. If it were 4, I think we'd see him try and communicate who the GB he guarded was to the other scum somehow, or perhaps try and encourage some lynching action (perhaps he can talk off thread now, I don't know). Not 100% sure of the best way to eliminate/confirm #4, apart from to give him some rope to hang himself with (ie. let him live through the next night and if he doesn't get NKed, grill him mercilessly about it tomorrow). I'm not inclined to jump to the conclusion that he is scummy right now, because if I did it based on the possibility they were scum, I would be voting for everyone.

I truly am RI, fellows. Lynch me and see if you recognise the name.

And actually, I just realised something.

Kessobahn's role comes up. If he's a symp, we should know it. So either he's forgotten this little detail, or not noticed it, as I don't think everyone has, or else he's really inno. :p

Well, 1) we can always lynch him, its not like he can hide,
2) We actually seem to be getting somewhere in this game. I think we will get scum today, if we are extra vigilante, or else tomorrow.

Gah, forgot to reply to this :p
1) I don't see how lying would serve him in this, but if we lynch him while he is inno, we lose valuable info and bring scum 1 step closer to victory by lynching an inno. The sole benefit for them is that he is 2 steps closer to a win if he is evil... So win-win at all times for scum.
So, him revealing makes sure he has to post his block every day. Now, the scary thing is, I believe who he is.

But, I don't believe he doesn't know his own alignment. Definately bullshit on that. It would mean he doesn't know what victory he is playing for, which would be fucking detrimental to his strategy and game approach and general usefulness, so: bullshit on that. So, based on that, one has to ask themselves: am I a positivist or a negativist?
All philosophical bullshit aside, I'm firmly in the the second camp when it comes to Mafia.

I think he is trying to steer us and is scum already, and if he isn't, then he will at some point in time. If he is, he is playing for their side and seeming to be still inno by having targeted an RI (as that is what Gam says he is, now do you believe him, hmmm?) he would lie to direct us. Whatever's going to happen, we'll ask Mockra every single day who he blocked the night before and base descisions on that.

Basically, unless everyone is roled (not as unlikely as you would think, since the sole reason for this game being above TDMI 6 is the absence of cults), he'd have the biggest chance of hitting an RI. If that wouldn't change his alignment, when would he win? What would gaining an alignment and then hitting an RI do? Who fucking knows? That alone makes me doubt him as every fucking single one of us has said he is fucking unroled apart from fucking Mockra. Fuck. And since I'm reading The Steel Remains: fuckity fucking assfucking fuck.

And for fuck's sake, I don't even know who that fucking slimer is.

God, I need something non-alcoholic and sobering. Espresso, here I come.

I say we let him live as he is most likely dead tonight. I just don't see how the killers will let him live. there are only 3-4 evil in all probability. If by chance he does investigate an evil tonight, he comes back and tells us and we lynch. Why would the killers allow this, they already have 2 GB's down. They are in control right now, and the chances of Mockra hitting a good guy and joining team evil is very low. (I think I sound like a symp right now...oh well). I say we make the killers waste their NK on Mockra, they kind of have to unless they are willing to take a huge risk of inno's gaining a find and a guard. Seems an unnecessary risk on their part. What that means for us?? we need to hit scum tonight to even up the score. I don't think a Mockra death will hurt us. Yellow probably threw Slimer in there as a wild card. Able to swing both ways. Like JA. :p ( I Kid!! I kid!!) So I don't think it would upset the balance.

Right, I read that, and all the last paragraph, well, originally there were 8 good/evil roles, which is just under half the players. Meaning he'd get a win condition Day Two. I think the hits the GBs took has changed that, though.

And I AM RI. If I was scum and wanted to role reveal I'd make myself useful. :p

In the movie, Slimer was this fat green ghost that floated around spewing ectoplasm on stuff and being a general annoyance, iirc.

I'm more negative than positive myself, but the fact is he KNOWS my alignment, makes me think he may be telling the truth. If he just took a lucky guess and is scum, well, that's a hell of a gamble if i was a GB or his symp or scum he didn't know.

The 8 is a guesstimate, right? Or do you know waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than I do? It's a big leap for day 2.

Right, I'm going to head off - I have a (very) early Christmas party to attend. Don't know if I'll get another chance to post this evening...if someone would be so kind as to check out my case on Omtose at some point, I think there's some decent evidence in there but thus far everyone seems to have ignored it. (see post 554).

Well, from what I can recall from the movie, there were the four GB, then possessed woman, the possessed man, the Evil God Thing, and Yellow should hopefully have thrown in the Muffin guy. And he'd probbaly have put in four scum for balance. So I'm guessing four/four.

Well, from what I can recall from the movie, there were the four GB, then possessed woman, the possessed man, the Evil God Thing, and Yellow should hopefully have thrown in the Muffin guy. And he'd probbaly have put in four scum for balance. So I'm guessing four/four.

Except the fact that Mafia is seldom about numerical parity or whatever an equal number is called if you use a posh word.

Thats Marshmallow guy to you! and that is an aweful big assumption to make. unless you know something we dont.

Its basic logic. If he has four GBs and three scum, the scum are massively outnumbered and at a huge loss. Tbh Id say there's four or five scum with some whacked up BPs or somesuch, to counteract the massive opposition they SHOULD have been against, had we not been unlucky.

Vote Gamelon

For (pretending to be) knowing more than I do, which is never a good sign.
