Please use the Amazon links on the portal page. They are what keeps this site afloat, and we really want you guys to use them to keep it running!

I know many of you probably jump straight to the forum itself, but if you're buying a through Amazon go to the portal page, here, and use the Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk links in the recommended sites section.

Thanks guys!

Your Amazon.com link gives a 404 error.

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Dammit.

My apologies for the delay in response.

I'll have to get Hetan to resend them, because we changed them just before I posted this up, and they may have stopped working. I'll let you know when it's fixed!

Amazon UK still works fine. ^^

Is there any chance of getting an amazon.ca link for those of us in Canada?

It's coming, I'm sure. Hetan is obtaining the links, I don't know how to get them, myself. :(

EDIT: Amazon.com link is NOW WORKING!

Sorry about that...

Good morning,
I already order my books from Amazon.ca but is it better to use the link here when it is up and running? Does Amazon monitir our usage and give back to this site? If so I will use this portal in future for all my orders in future, thanks, Catherine

I presume I'm a minority here, but I order all my books & stuff (and that's a LOT of books & stuff, since I do the orders for all of my family and some friends) over Amazon.de. Is there a possibility to include that link as well, or do you need an extra contract with them? I'd be glad if my purchases could contribute the forum in some way... :D

I'll check with Hetan.

@Catherine - yes, only purchases through our portal links help us. :D Nice to see people wanting to help the site! ^^

I will certainly set up a link to amazon.ca and amazon.de if that means more people will use the link.
The link already has our id built into it, and you can purchase anything you like through that link and we will receive income from it

When the new forum skin is finished we will be putting more visible links on the site, but in the meanwhile, please use the portal page :D

Stupid question #1 - Does it matter if I am logged in here? What I mean is can I simply open the portal page and click the link, or do I have to log in to Malazan for you to get the benefit?...Don't laugh...I don't do technical remember.

'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'

Wait, I can buy ANYTHING on Amazon through those links and the site gets money? Well, damn, expect that bit of knowledge to benefit the site in the near future.

Is there any way to modify the links so that the page isn't search results on SE (probably heresy to say that I know ;-) ) - just going to the home page for instance instead.

Also does the link need to be clicked from the forum (e.g. amazon are looking at the referrer) or can you for instance set the link as a bookmark and go straight to it from say the BBC News website and it still works?

I ask because if it is possible to modify it and doesn't need to come from the forum then I'll change my folks computer to do it too, they aren't keen at all on getting to a search results page or to visiting the forum first.
