Hopefully I'll be around for the start of day, cos I need to get up early tomorrow and have an incredibly busy day, meaning you wont see much of me for the next 24 hours or so

You know, based on the wording of the scene, it seems it's Fener who blew up the others. Plus the ones that died were those before and after him, so makes sense - and holy shit, thanks Gamelon for this post that saved my sorry ass by 4 minutes.

I doubt this is "depossession" otherwise the guy with the role should stop and let us lynch, less dangerous

It might be one of the possessed abilities, thus a good strategy for the early possessed to weed out the field before more possesed appear - after all they have to gain more than majority, they have to gain totality.

It might also be something about Fener's role before he was possessed that made him blow up on his first post, like Ruse said, although it sounds a bit extreme.

As for Fener being possessed, I'm not surprised. He was a short-posts player, like I said before, the best target around assuming someone chooses who gets it. I hope it's true, it means we took care of the possessed threat too.

Or I should say the threat was "taken care of" . I don't have a clue who did this explosion - it's not me BTW. Since Gamelon is the only inno, he would probably be the one responsible if this is a kamikaze thing, but apparently he had a surprised post after.

It would be really awesome if your theory was true (and it seems pretty logical), but there's no way of knowing, so we have to go with worst case and assume possessed can still enter the land of the living. Besides, it's more than likely there's another possessed out there somewhere.

Personally I think it's Fener. The fact that he was the middle of the three killed and day ended right after his first post since the previous night seems to much of a coincidence. My 'possession allergy' theory is a couple of posts back, but it doesnt really matter does it?

Anyway, with Meanas out of the picture, I agree we definitely need to be hunting cult.

I doubt that's how depossession works. Seems to me it would most likely be a possessed ability, since they would be the ones that benefit from it the most. Like you said, they need to take out everyone.

I lolled. Looking back (maybe it's just 20/20 hindsight), but that post seemed different. All the ellipses, lack of 'imho's and 'lmoa's (Yes, I'm pretty sure who Fener was ), so I think he was possessed last night. Maybe he realised he would be spotted and decided to suicide himself. I doubt it though, if I had known I was just about to blow up I would have said something funny. But that's just me.

Regarding the Big Boom, That seems like an awefully powerful tool for the possesed to have.. they could get the numbers down real quickly if thats a repeatable skill. Anyway, Cult hunt is on! as the numbers are probably 6-5 this is a big vote coming up.

If I could silence a player for a day, I wouldn't chose one that could be possessed, on the contrary, I would want the player to post, otherwise how can we figure it out and lynch him?

I remember mention of a 'zero-tau' machine early in the game. Being stuck in time could be interpreted as silencing I would think.
