A step up from the Razor's Edge (which I considered possibly their worst offering to date (still freaking awesome though))

Anyone else heard the new album? Impressions and favourite songs?

So far I'm loving the album, listened through and happy to do it again and again.
Favourite song so far - Skies on Fire (but Black Ice may well steal this title)

All hail the true gods of Rock'n'Roll

"She Likes Rock n Roll" and "Big Jack" sound like the good ol' days.

Yeah, Bon Scott didn't die! He ascended!

Considering my whinging about not getting gig tickets, I haven't had chance to listen to the album yet. I've heard a few songs from it on the radio. The same radio station had a competition to win tickets to see them if you turned up at their studios dressed as Angus Young. I only heard as it happened, otherwise I would have mugged a school kid for his uniform! The Guardian newspaper had a rather scathing review calling the album formulaic. When a formula works so well, why the hell would you want to change it?!

On a related note, I had a dream that I was trying to kill Brian Johnson with a sharpened stick last night.......

Times reveiw was equally rough basically said the boys took no risks and stuck to what they always do, its going to sell millions.
Why would they not do what they always do? rock the fuck out?!?!
If it was a bad rock album I could understand bad reviews, but its a good ac/dc album, not their best but a step up tre and people cry about it not being edgy/ experimental, if i wanted odd experimental i'd look for it. i want rock, and baby I got it
