isnt a nickle 5 cents
a dime ten and a quarter 25?

So is it that or isn't it that? Enquiring minds want to know (although I kind of figured the Quarter one out for myself).

And does any other country in the world still use Farenheit? People are saying it is going to be 60degrees at the weekend. Is that good or bad?

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

A pound. They use it like we do "buck".

Mezla, if you have change, you can read them

A nickel is 5 cents
A dime is 10 cents
A quarter is 25 cents
A 50-cent Piece is... 50 cents.

A dollar is 100 cents.

60 degrees F is pretty nice if you have been dealing with winter, but people down in mexico consider it cold. I would wear a tshirt and shorts in it, but you might not want to, being that girls are generally cold.

Why haven't the States changed to use celcius anyways? I can understand imperial measurements because of construction, but every time I see a weather forecast on some American station it takes me a moment to realize you guys aren't suffering a heatwave.

For the same reason we call soccer "soccer" and football "football." It's been around too long. Also, I like the Fahrenheit system. It's more nuanced than Celsius which only fluctuates from what I can tell 30 to 40 degrees.

I'll reply by saying your system has too much fluctuation. Celsius is clear, concise and far superior.

Having never lived where Celsius is used I can state quite clearly and with great evidence that Fahrenheit is vastly superior.

Well thanks for all the info my American friends. Celsius is by far superior however.

Liberal use of the "reply to all" button when giving me shit about something via email. Unnecessary sir!! Now a tonne of people think I'm a prick, rather than just a handful :p
