I like the Kevin scale. Not Kelvin - Kevin.
An explanation: In winter, if it's 6 Kevin, it took six seconds for the snot in Kevin's nose to freeze. In the summer, if it's 6 Kevin, it took six seconds for Kevin to say "It's fucking hot out here." Once the snot isn't freezing and once nobody's saying "It's fucking hot out here", ambient temperature is pretty much meaningless.

Survivors grieved, for a time, and looked upon empty rooms and empty beds, the scattering of possessions no-one possessed any longer, and wondered what was to come, what would be written anew on the wiped-clean slate. Wondering, how can I go on?

Former Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable has been found dead in his home this morning, police are saying there are no suspicious circumstances, but he was only 40 and had done his radio show as normal that day. Very odd but more importantly tragic as he was one of music's genuine nice guys.
