You could swaddle. Same effect, less chance of criminal charges.

Agree, swaddling works like a charm. Though it should be noted that IF you swaddle, the time will come down the road (usually once they can turn over onto their stomachs on their own) when you'll have to wean them off being swaddled. That's the trade off.

Also recommend leaving them with one arm out of the swaddle.

And you don't even have to do it with a blanket, you could use SwaddleMe ones and they change as they get older (eventually a sleep sack which just keeps their body in and both arms out.

Apt - from your history I'm getting that tying down is a no but trussing up is ok.

He's pinned down with a tight sheet right now. Forkrul Assail baby! I'll suspend him from the ceiling tomorrow if this doesn't work. Supposedly Russian peasants used to keep their babies in hammocks above their beds.

I hear ya! One time some spider eggs hatched on some pasties I was wearing (I thought the eggs were beads). They bit me up and my nipples looked like a couple of Vienna sausages pushed through the center of some bright red salami slices (my areolas) for weeks.

They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Saw Halestorm last night...the openers were both crap (Dorothy...I dunno what that screeching was, but it's not music) and former Runaway Lita Ford (who was terrible in the way of Axl Rose...like old rocker can't really kick it anymore, and the songs sound terribad). Halestorm was, of course great....so what's messing with my groove other than wasting 1.5hrs on those two terrible opening acts?

The club they played at was overly hot, busier than I've ever seen it at any concert (from the crowd, the old bastards had ventured out to see Ford), cramped, I had my coat (because Eff coat check) folder up over my arm, I had a headache, the dry smoky club gave me a sore throat, my feet hurt, my back was ACHING when I got home, and I was generally just discombobulated.

So what should have been a decent concert and night out was only good for the headliner being excellent...the rest of the night was a horrific wash...and made me feel like I'm getting too old for "club-based" concerts like that.

Sigh.

Next time, get one of those cloth bags with shoulder straps. You can stuff your coat and your date's coat in there and carry around. Should be able to stuff it in a pocket first and then pull out when it's time to switch. I do it all the time and it's really useful.

I saw Halestorm once as they were supporting AlterBridge. They were OK I guess. But then Lzzy came on stage to sing with Miles Kennedy and it was pretty mind blowing. That girl can sing!

She can indeed. Even more impressive is the fact that they'v been doing this for 19 years and Lzzy was 13 when they started, Arejay was only 10...she was talking about it last night that their parents were scared as heck to let them do this at that age...but let them do it anyways. But yeah, Lzzy is an utterly incredible singer. For that matter Arejay is a phenomenal drummer.

Which sucks cause a fair number of the bands I like only play smaller venues.

A shitty day today, plus late getting back because somebody obstructed a road and diverted traffic.

Why do people think that if they avoid telling me the software is glitchy I can just work through it and it won't affect me at all?

Why can't people read emails? In which universe does "taking time off to look after my sick grandmother" become "he has malaria and probably dengue"??

I am in a bit of a ranty mood today.

Yeah like I say they're not especially my kind of music (double especially when AlterBridge were so flipping insanely brilliant) but there is no denying her talent!
