Where's the downside to that? Free hours!

Or don't schools work like that anymore? It's been a while...
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

I'm at that point where I'm not sure whether I should just hold out for another 24 hours or go to the hospital/gp for some prednisone. I mean, prednisone means being able to breathe but it also means several days of feeling absolutely awful. The kind of awful that makes not breathing seem like a valid option. 😥

Tell them to hit Santa Monica and then head west another 30 miles or so.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

It would appear that when I backed up stuff from my old laptop before resetting it, I omitted a folder with all my Uni lectures in it. Not that I used it often, but it's annoying to find out I've lost 7 years worth of digitized course materials that I may have used as references at some odd times.

HDD at my lab crashed. Apparently I am the best person at my school to fix this. Even over the tech guy, which scares me a little. Since in 5 minutes I worked out the HDD is in perfect health, the size of the hdd is different to the size on the label which led me to realize that the hdd was partitioned and one of the partitions has suddenly for unknown reasons become unallocated. I have a chance to recover the data by simply reallocating the drive space. That said I dont really know what I am doing and am nervous to give it a shot!

Bwahahaahha, I know that feeling. One of the freaking developers at my work called me the last 'expert' in a particular piece of software we use after another dev left...I don't even work in the IT department. (And yes, she meant expert with the technical side, not just the end user stuff.)

What. A. Day.

Allergy attack in the morning escalated, revealing my current med dosage to be woefully inadequate. After having my throat torn raw and being nearly blinded by tears, I doubled the dose, and only then I could actually breathe. Of course such a severe bout brought on a headache and swelled up my throat so I could barely speak. Took a day off, things calmed down enough in the afternoon to lie down and nap a bit. I can actually look at stuff and keep my eyes open now

I hate my fucking allergies

Whoa...video coming in of a wildfire in Canada. That's horrible.

Yeah, it's ROUGH. I have friends who live in Alberta not too far away from the fires and they say it's really bad.

Wildfires are part and parcel usually, but this is over the top.

got my ballot entry in, will have been one of the first names in, which wont affect my chances in the ballot, but gives me a good shout on the waiting list that follows, it goes by chronological entry date.

still, I've done the maths, at best Its a 5/1 shot, probably closer to 8/1

I broke it off with the girl I mentioned a few times. It was deeply sad in some ways but also a relief. I decided I needed to take some time away from dating, and clear my head. Get a bit of a new perspective maybe.

I went to a concert on the same evening, thinking it would help get my mind of it all. I ended up making out with one of the background singers (supporting singers? choir girls?). I feel a little dumb, to be perfectly honest.

why feel dumb?

Dumb because of breaking it off, dumb for tackling the singer girl so soon after breaking it off or feeling dumb for waiting so long to break it off?

Genuine question
