iTunes has always been awful. I remember using it way back when and it'd randomly delete, reorganise and rename things. Pointless software.

So I've got some gnarly cough just now that's getting pretty annoying. I also strained a muscle in the gym on Sunday (the one that runs around the side and back of the ribs) and so every cough is rather painful.

People who can't just sit in silence.
Its my tea break, I'm trying to read a book. I don't know you, I don't know any of the people you're talking to me about, my monosyllabic answers andbfocus on my book are clear indicators I am not fucking interested in chatting to you.
Shut the fuck up and drink your coffee.

You have my sympathy. That shit happens in my work lunchroom ALL the time...which is why I started to just read in my office on my lunchbreak. The amount of people in this world who can't just shut up in a room with others is staggering.

It's totally possible.
The other likelihood is

I have a ready-to-go solution to this... aside from violence.... just look at the person and say "I'm so sorry, i need to get this done, i'm on a tight deadline.".
It doesn't matter that you're reading Deadhouse Gates, Good Housekeeping magazine or Dr Seuss... this shuts most people right down, politely even.

Now and then you'll encounter that special soul who neeeeeds to know what deadline, why, etc, and for those people, violence.

Tho if you really want to read, any form of common area that includes people you know is just not the best choice.

Train commute of a morning is why I encounter this. There's the sort of well meaning person who seems to assume you're reading a book because you have nobody to talk to.

Nope, I'm reading a book because 1) I want to and 2) it's before 8am. Hush.

Pain isn't in my chest. Think it's mostly muscular now as I had a ridiculously hot bath last night (reading whilst in there, of course) and it's mostly gone. Only hurts if I lie directly on that side, now.

Why are sales people such assholes?

At my office, my job is pretty particular and I'm damned good at it.

If I tell you (Mr. or Mrs. Sales person) that the files are not supplied correctly, or that something else is required...I have not done so for my health. I have not GUESSED at it. I have looked into the files and deduced that unless they are sent correctly, they cannot move through our system. But every day when I present this brick wall to a sales person...they immediately question me, and makes suggestions as to how we can get around it without them having to call their customer back.

No. Fuck you. CALL YOUR CUSTOMER AND TELL THEM THE FILES HAVEN'T BEEN SUPPLIED CORRECTLY. It's not the end of the world. They are not going to shit on your for letting them know that the files need sent differently.

The bottom line in nearly all these situations is that they eventually have to go back to their customer anyways...so why the goddamned rigmarole with questioning my work every day by assuming what I've said is wrong and has another answer/workaround that you (As a SALES employee) know about and I (as the tech employee working with the files) don't.

Every fucking day.

The one morning of this 4 day Thanksgiving week my wife "watches" the kids (the next two days will be a work-free, kid-free, house-sitting vacation for her), I find her practically asleep on the couch with the kids just hanging around at their play table. The house is a disaster. Why can't she at least get the dirty breakfast dishes to the sink... I sent her to bed and hope she'll be more helpful at least helping me put the kids down for a nap...

There should be a book you can buy that is blank with thecover titled "How to Pretend to Read and Avoid People" All you haveto do is hold it properly. Or better yet, just a cover slip to put on any bookof your choosing. better yet, just a cover slip to put on any book of your choosing.

I deal with this on the commute by having headphones and a pissed off expression.

A domestic Christian terrorist struck in the US today: http://www.reuters.c...N0TG27D20151127 which developed into a firefight. Several injured, including police. Scary stuff.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Man, does anyone here have experience with online dating? It just seems like the worst.

I thought I'd never use it because it seemed like shopping for a human being in a magazine, but I fight wild-fire in the summer seemingly non-stop and then I come home to a smaller town, so I haven't really met many people I'm interested in as of late. I also liked the ability to know some important things you'd want to know before the date.
That said, I never really let things hit my self esteem, rejection is okay, but boy does online dating hurt for some reason. It's cold. You get ignored lots, or you actually click with someone and then they eventually just ignore messages even if you said nothing really out there. This one really bummed me out. Haven't been that excited to meet someone in a couple years.
I'd prefer "No thanks, i don't like the cut of your jib" over the cold silence and lingering questions of what did you do wrong.

I often wonder if the method makes it too easy to just pass on someone when you can just go through pages of people, like shopping for damn furniture. I think it's one of those actual "technology sucks" moments.

I just wanna fight fire, help people and be a loving boyfriend and/or husband. I'll admit to be oversensitive right now. Truthfully, I lost my brother and father the past year and a bit.
I've always been a lone wolf type, but I've never felt so fucking lonely till now.

Hitting gym, and scotch! Fuck Match.com
