Having sat on a fair few interview panels myself I'd say that you rarely think about the people you turn down. It's usually a case of make a job offer and on to the next thing. The best we ever do is tell HR to keep a persons name on the books. More often than not it is just that someone else had better experience.

My plans to see AGE OF ULTRON got scrubbed at the last minute. Really trying not to be bitter. Not succeeding.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Should find out tomorrow if I got this job I am pumped for. They interviewed my competition today. I have a feeling i won't get it, which is going to be hard to deal with. I am perfectly qualified for it. If they don't want me then what the fuck do i do.

Someone chop my legs off please. I ve been riding around the neighborhood for 2 days now on a 10 year olders size bike with my kids.

Also a HUGE wasp was in my bedroom when I got back home from my sisters today. That bitch got a spray can to the head.

I think you should change your name from Briar king to either 'Bug King' or 'Bug Killer' both are strangely appropriate

Lots of work to do, but due to the weather, the simple ccommute itslef is killing me. I usually take the subway, which is nice and cool, but after that there is a 15 minute walk, which in other times would be insignificant. But now its a 15 minute walk in direct sunlight, max temperature hovering between 35 and 38 celsius and a 70% + relative humidity. By the time I actually get to where I am going I am totally dehydrated and feeling dizzy. And according to the weather office its supposed to get hotter.

Parcel Force?

Is that like G-Force? Battle Of The Planets?

Immense backlog of work not helped by me suddenly falling sick today. Most probably due to the heat, but now I have digestive problems and stomachache and the doctor put me to bedrest. Books and smartphone keeping me sane. Whoever invented mobile internet and computing deserves a Nobel at the least.

And continuing the theme of this week, our summer childcare plans just got shitcanned when our nanny decided to flake out on us. Going to be an interesting next few weeks...

That stuff sucks man. You got my sympathy. The heat affects me similarly.

Bought tickets a little while back to see an EDM DJ who's coming to my city. Tickets were reasonable ($15+tax)...but I'd not really heard of the venue before. I bought the tickets thinking, yeah I wanna see this act. Convinced two of my friends to come based on the music. Then I started looking up reviews of the venue...which is for all intents and purposes a nightclub...and a well known SHITTY nightclub that is poorly laid out, overpriced, overstuffed with dudebros and coachella girls on any given night, assclown bouncers, bottle service areas that are kept free of humans (taking up valuable real estate) even though they are empty because no one wants to spend $600 on a few bottles of booze, and my personal pet peeve...bathroom attendants who expect a tip for handing me a paper fuckin towel. The reviews are roundly negative and all the above is mentioned in every one for the last three years the club has been open. The last fact is that the doors are at 10PM, and the main acts don't SEEM to go on till AT LEAST midnight if not 1AM.

So here I am a day before the show wondering what to do about it, and I'm pissed off because I was too stupid to look up the venue before clicking to buy the tix. And I don't want to stay up till 3 AM for a concert.

The answer is to swear off EDM for all eternity.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

You get together with your friends at a place you actually like, drink, eat, listen to good music, use the bathrooms there, then walk over for the main event.

I was the DD for my younger brother to see Digitalism last year in Boston. Everyone in the main crowd was a good seven years at least younger than me, but since it was my brother and Digitalism was actually good, it was an ok time.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.
