Sick and tired of fighting AAA for a refund (after they left my wife and kid stranded in the snow, being unreachable for 40 minutes when I tried to get a hold of them to even let them know of the situation!). They have been giving me the false-apology run around for over a month now. My advice, if you are thinking of joining them, don't.

Damn it, I've just seen a massive spoiler to Sons of Anarchy on amazon. I've left it a bit long to catch up, I know, but it's still a bummer when they spoil stuff on season descriptions.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

It's weird to me to hear people refer to university as school (in the UK, school, college and university are discussed as seperate entities).

yesterday was my birthday and it mostly sucked.
First i was working, secondly my wife had an exame so i saw her for a grand total of an hour last night, then my sister in law was meant ot be a model for her exam and my bro in law was to look after my neices, But NOOOOOO he goes and fucks up and get a bloody arctic lorry 'stuck' (yea right) so he wont be home in time for it, so guess who has to look after them? Yea thats right me!!
Dont get me wrong i wasnt plannign on doing much with my evening, maybe play some xbox or watch The Hobbit but i couldnt even do that. to piss me off even more my wife effectively does an 80 mile round trip to get them all and then drop them back off and guess what my bro in law gets home convieniently just after my wife has dropped them off.
On a plus though i got an adorable card from my son some nice new clothes and a Lego Double Decker couch (see lego movie if you dont know what it is).
Oh and i now have a rediculously busy wek at work with working until 9 tonight then late finishes until the end of the week so im a little grumpy.
Sorry needed the rant.

My contract at work is coming to an end in 4 days. I'm having serious second thoughts about prolinging it. So does, I think, my employer. I don't think staying in a toxic work environment like this would be healthy. I'm starting to feel how the work "ethic" here is starting to take root in my own behaviour. Everyone seems to be entirely focused on deflecting responsibility away from themselves instead of taking steps to improve the process, and fuck me - I'm starting to do the same thing. I've lost hope that things can get better. Between wilful blindness, avoiding decisionmaking and arbitrary outbursts, everything stays the same. More, things are about to get worse, I think.
I'm about to come to some money soon, I'm considering using that cushion to try and turn my professional life around.
