So I had my interview. My friend introduced me to his boss, and I left around 1pm.

He called me like an hour later and apparently his boss fired him.

I'm not defending them as much as I'm pointing out that you are an idiot for holding their salary against him. I fully agree that the system is broken and I wholeheartedly support all initiatives that addresses this issue, but I will not for one second put any blame on the footballers for how the business has turned out. They're far too stupid to mastermind something like that.

My boss put me for a shift I didn't ask for, so now I can't see my buddies show, but worst it's a shift I've never worked before so I won't have any clue of what I'm doing which is terrible and on top of that other people will be relying on me so they can do a good job. Great idea boss, lets let a person who has never worked behind the bar, and knows how to make about three drinks, be the bartender. Great idea. I'm sure everyone will have a great time including the patrons and servers. Goddamnit, I need a new job (and so this doesn't come off more whiny than it is this isn't a job I found after crying about not finding a job, it's a job I hate and the reason I was looking for another).

Goddamn cough that won't go away. I've had it for months now, had two courses of antibiotics, and for the last two days.. nothing.

Went to work today, and by lunchtime its started up again. Now im back home with a nice wheeze.

I have smoked in the past, and I can't help but worry that it might be more than just a virus or something. I think I'm going to have to get a chest x-ray - but I will be seriously shitting myself about the result.

At least it will stop me worrying anyway.

Two of my closest friends are moving to the States this weeks. Flipping heck, I know that they are going for the right reason and I am genuinely happy and excited for them but at the same time I am going to miss them massively. I mean if they were moving somewhere else in the UK at least it's a drive away, but this is like, not gonna see them til I can afford to get tickets out there!

So yeah its kind of bittersweet, cos they have got some incredible adventures ahead of them but still, it sucks for me!
