I hear you loud and clear, I'm just emphasizing that the feeling of failure (which is natural for some to have, and which one can and should strive to overcome) is entirely separate from the reality where failure is an irrelevant concept. You can't will yourself to not develop PTSD any more than you can will yourself to not develop Parkinson's disease. So in that sense, the divorce analogy breaks down. In other words, "as I should be able to handle myself and my own emotions/feelings" is a valid conscious response you may have to deal with, but it's not a medical reality that this is how it works.

And hey, you'd be a statistic either way, right? For every 4 out of 5 dentists who recommend Trident, there's that 1 out of 5 who doesn't.

@Assail - for what my $0.02 are worth, there are good reasons why the resources are made available to you and all of them have to do with helping you or most likely just confirming that you don't need help.

And it's not limitted to PTSD... there's a whole pile of stressors related to adjusting post-service that you may not even realize you're dealing with and that have fairly easy 'fixes' if you need them.

If you don't take advantage of those resources, you're likely either left trying to cope on your own, or wondering whether you should have... or, worse case, reading more Goodkind.

I think i kinda know how you feel about going for help, as i, not so long ago asked for help about a growing depression. I would recommend going, at least just to find out if it is the real deal.
also, there is no shame in not having all your emotions under complete control, even more so after having suffered trauma of any kind.

Surprisingly I still have the very first PS3 that came out and it still works.

On whats messing with my groove. Today I decided to go swimming to try and help my back recover. I didn't have a bag, any goggles, swim shorts, and forgot my towel. I bought a lock that I couldnt open cause of that stupid packaging. Once I destoryed my fingers opening it I couldn't get it to open cause I didnt know the specific rotation you have to do and for some reason I tore up the instructions which I had to go back for an put together. It was a mess and my eyes sting. I would rate my experience a - 2/10

Needless to say I need to go to buy some equipment tomorrow.
No Touchy.

Also, Google just announced they're killing Google Reader in a few months. Anything out there even remotely comparable?

I'm feeling really down.

I started drinking at noon today. Which was just because I felt like crap, and wanted to feel better.

Half of my friends are pissed off, the other half are too busy to bother with me. You lot not included.

I've come to realize that I have absolutely no ability to make decisions, and, worse, I stagnate as a defense mechanism. My shrink wasn't even useful in that regard. He himmed and hawwed over everything to the extent I've found pretty common in his profession.
And now, today, my computer is dying. Drivers crash, graphics card dies, even just doing things as simple as playing Minecraft and being on youtube at the same time.

I was out driving my grandad to the hospital to visit my grandmother. I've left the house twice during working hours this week, and both were hospital visits. This is a clear sign that the universe is an asshole.

But yes, one voicemail on the landline and two missed calls on my mobile is a good thing in my book :p

I'm still flailing around the house a bit though...
