Standing in the checkout lane Walmart.. Fuck I hate when it's packed and they have 3 lanes open.

Is Walmart like K-Mart/Big W/Target etc?

Yes but much bigger then both. Y'all don't have Walmart in Austrailia?

Dude, you went to Walmart on the first of the month? You're a stupider braver man than I.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

What's so special with the first of the month? Just wondering, don't have things like walmart here in Norway. Especially here north of the polar circler.

Unemployment/social assistance cheques typically arrive and Walmart's primary clientelle descend in droves to shop, often for things no reasonable human who requires such funding should be buying in the first place.

There's a lot of those, but there's also a ton of single moms buying formula and so on. Lot of sad stories and a lot of self-destruction - sometimes mixed together.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Messing with my groove.

Fan Expo (Toronto's main Comic Con) has (over the years) grown from something 20-30,000 people attend, to something 100-120,000 people attend. Now, one would figure that they would grow the amount of the Convention center / area that they use...sadly no, it strangely went in the opposite direction...they ceased using the bigger part of the building (The North building) and began using the smaller South Building instead...This came to a head two years ago when in 2010 Deluxe pass holders (people who had paid over $100 to get in at any time, and had the run of the place and were not ever meant to stand in lines...) were turned away because the building was at capacity.

Sigh.

So last year everyone got in...but with them still using the South building only it was...Wall to wall, drive you fucking bonkers, no room to move around at all...bananas. It was...unpleasant enough that my fellow attendee and I bailed out after about 3 hours (our regular day in years prior was about 5 hours).

So this year, and after all the complaints they've had...and KNOWING they had a MUCH bigger attendee list...you would think they'd be using both the North AND South building to fit everything in right? Oh fuck no, they'd rather pocket all that extra cash and STILL CRAM EVERYONE IN TO THE SMALL BUILDING.

Fuck you Fan Expo. Fuck you hard.

Of course I'm a hypocrite because I've bought a deluxe pass, but I swear to gods I will be pissed if at any point I can't get in.

I tweeted at the fanExpo twitter guy that they should be using the North And South building...but fat lot of good it will do.

I emailed the company that runs it about all the disorganization two years back and recieved a reply that was pretty much "Thanks. Now go fuck yourself." But then this is a company that spent all the the 2000's annexing ANY other Con that came to town. There was a big hubub years ago where Hobbystar (the shitty company that runs FanExpo) actually found out that a smaller Comic Con was going to be taking place and it actually bought out the space they were going to use for it (which they actually proceeded to leave empty for that weekend just so the other Con couldn't use it)....and when that didn't deter the smaller Con (who found another venue)....Hobbystar set up a bigger Con the exact same weekend to try to siphon their business away. This is a reprehensible company run by a money grubbing shitsnack.

Ugh.

I wish that one day we had a decent company in town running Conventions...until then I gotta put up with it.

Sorry, End rant.

Canada is ruled by corrupt businessmen, unlike its fairer sister to the south.

There's lots of everyone. People need to stop breeding for a generation or four.

The baby boomers blew us all to hell.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

The Walmart one town over used to be 24 hrs but stopped that due to multiple late night shootings in the parking lot.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

It's never a good idea to sell alcoholic beverages, ammunition, and condoms in the same place
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

Sadly the ones around here sell only condoms from that list, but the cheap deep fryers and club pack sized oreos do plenty of damage.
