Yay, it's been ordered, along with RotCG, and book 1 of WoT in the German translation...

Usually it's about a month behind the UK release date. . .

Anybody here who knows how long it usually takes for the paperback version to be released after the hardcover release in the UK? I'm assuming August 17th is the release date for hardcovers only.

Finally my first post! Living in Namibia which is stuck in the backwaters of the world in terms of internet and books. Luckily pick my books up in South Africa as I'm studying there, although at the moment the bloody "city" doesn't have a decent bookstore. As far as I know release dates here is about same as UK because I usually pick up a copy at Exclusive Books not long after posted release dates.

Hey everybody, just wondering what the status of this is now. Neither Amazon Canada or UK is listing a date right now. Last year everything worked out smashingly and I was able to pick up both Toll the Hounds and The Steel Remains while I was over the pond. I am going on vacation to Ireland and the UK next week and was hoping against hope that I might be able to grab Dust of Dreams while I was there, but it seems like I will be out of luck. I'd also be interested to know if anybody's heard anything about Kindle publications of the Malazan books. Personally I'd like to own them, but it seems like if I'm about to go on vacation it would be pretty fantastic to be able to read a Malazan Book without having to drag around the brick itself.

I haven't heard anything earlier than the 27th August, so I'm assuming that's Britain's release date.

My local Waterstones says 17th of August, so there's that.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I just pre-order from amazon.uk and wait for the inevitable moment when Canada Post fucks me sideways and sends it to a bombed out tea shop in Mogadishu.

I called Galaxy Books and they said there were two release dates: last week of August / first week of September. I remember getting the trade paperbacks (from Borders) for TtH and RG early September so it sounds about right.
