Dust of Dreams release date

Does anyone have an idea about an Australian release date for DoD?
I normally order them from the UK rather than wait until it is released here, but with the exchange rate the way it is ill probably end up paying double (or more) what it costs in pounds, plus postage (which will be in pounds as well). So I think I'll forgo paying $75+AUD and just wait for the Aussie release.

Best i could find was an 27 August 2009 release date from fishpond book store. They are selling it for $57.99 hardcover

Seems they've discounted it down to $48.53...not bad I guess.

@ Mappo's (and any other fellow Aussie here) - I recommend buying the book from The Book Depository (www.bookdepository.co.uk). They have the release listed as 27th August for 15 GBP, not to mention free delivery. It's great. I use them all the time and their service is fantastic: books arrive in excellent condition on very quickly (often in less than a week!). So yes, it's what I recommend.
EDIT: forgot to mention: that's the hardback edition.

Typically the books release later in the US than in Canada and the UK. No reason to believe that won't be the case for DoD as well.
Amazon.ca and Amazon.com show the same release dates for TtH: September 16, 2008. (3 weeks later than Amazon.co.uk.)
Amazon.ca currently shows the Tor hardcover edition of DoD slated for September 1, 2009, so I'm willing to bet that will be the US release date as well.

Yeah, I considered that, but Salt-Z-Man didn't sound sure, more like he was just guessing, and Amazon.com doesn't have Dust of Dreams listed yet at all.

This is when DHL commandos come in handy.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Why!? Why does DOD come out four months later in America. I hate the publishing industry. Someone is always getting my favorite upcoming books months before me.

Be happy a fantastic book is about to come out, rather than complain when it is coming. Just think, you could be waiting on A Dance of Dragons or A Wise Man's Fear.

I reserve the right to complain about things that make no sense, or at least only make sense to business people in the publishing industry.
I can understand releasing books at different times at an international level, if they're in different languages, but why release the same book in three English speaking countries at three different times?
If I order DoD from Amazon's British or Canadian site, will it automatically do the necessary monetary conversion from American dollars into Canadian dollars or pounds?
I've never ordered something internationally before, so I have no experience with that.

Oh well.
You may be pissed, but probably for the wrong reasons.
It may be possible that Erikson is a bit late and the book was delayed. So it's possible that Tor was just the first to delay the book, but the UK version will follow in the next days.
In April it was said that Erikson was still writing the last few chapters. We haven't had any new update so a delay is still possible.

If thats true, I will happily take back my anger, but I'm betting its just how the international-publishing-Cookie crumbles. Which sucks.

Yes. It took my money out of my U.S. bank and converted it into pounds over there. I assume. I got my Toll the Hounds.

It worked flawlessly for me too. I received the book about a week after folks in the UK.

correct me if I'm wrong, but the DoD on Amazon.com is the UK Bantum edition, so we still do not have a release date for the US Tor edition, right? Or am I missing something?
P.S. Just about finished rereading TTH, can't wait for more Erikson awesomeness!

It might just be my local store but it seems that we in Australia also have to wait a little longer than the rest of the world. Release dates don't seem to hold much merit here.

Why is it so hard even to get infos?
Advance readers here should at least know if Erikson completed the last few chapters where he was stuck in March, and by now the editor surely knows if the book is still scheduled for September or was delayed.
In fact it would be about the time that some copies were sent for early reviews.
Instead there's complete silence.
I also wonder: in mid-June the paperback of RotCG is released. Will it have a preview prologue from Stonewielder or Esslemont is still far behind?

We simply don't know. Hetan or Mal might have some juicy insider info but the rest of us can only speculate. It would be safe to assume that Erikson has finished the book though, even if only the first draft. He was stuck in March, and it's been 2 and a half months.
I doubt there will be a prologue from Stonewielder in the paperback of RotCG. It took quite a while for us to get the RotCG prologue on the boards so I can't see it going in there.

If it's only the first draft then the book is delayed and the publisher knows it. So I don't see why we shouldn't too.
The book is out in three months, either it's in, or it's delayed.

The paperback of Night of Knives had the RotCG prologue.
