Thanks Hetan!

Looking forward to the prologue being posted sometime soon :p In the meantime could you convince Kallor to drop in and do his teasing bit? (Grief misses him obviously)

@Skywalker: just read that, was pretty funny. I'm tempted to take a look at his book now, too.

@Sixty: wasn't sure what you were referring to there...

imagine the thrill SE must get from writing this. imagine setting up Rake to kill Hood. the reason he writes so fast is because he loves it as much as we do. thank god he is enthralled by his own creation. must be a fantastic feeling.

I just want to see the Dramatis Personae. How many pages does it fill?

@Sixty: wasn't sure what you were referring to there...

The Rothfuss blog. :)

Also, is there any chance of this being released in the US simultaneously? I know others mentioned it before but I didn't see a definite answer :S
Since I don't exactly want to pay $6+ shipping, and I prefer to order several books in one go from somewhere like B&N where I have too many gift cards to.

Oooh... ok... that makes sense :D Yeah, you should check out his book... pretty good stuff.

Typically the books release later in the US than in Canada and the UK. No reason to believe that won't be the case for DoD as well.

Amazon.ca and Amazon.com show the same release dates for TtH: September 16, 2008. (3 weeks later than Amazon.co.uk.)

Amazon.ca currently shows the Tor hardcover edition of DoD slated for September 1, 2009, so I'm willing to bet that will be the US release date as well.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Will the American release date be the same as the Canadian one?

If not does anyone know it?
