Received an email last night from SE to say he had two chapters to go
I'll ask for the prologue in our next correspondence in the next day or three. We've been talking about the new homepage and it slipped my mind, sorry

Great news
OT, but it's not an 'M' book. I'm not sure why it's being published as an 'M' book in the USA, but in the UK it's a mainstream novel being publshed by Little Brown rather than Orbit.

I'm curious: how does he work with advance readers? I assumed that a few here were already reading some parts of the book. Is it like that or the advance readers only start to receive something after the book is complete?
If that's the case then there's not an occasion to receive feedback.

Feed then or perish. Life is but a search for gardens and gentle refuge, and here I sit waging the sweetest war, for I shall not die while a single tale remains to be told. Even the gods must wait spellbound.

Yay! That's great news!
The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

So you HAVE read parts of Dust of Dreams already?
It would be interesting to have impressions, but I guess it's out of question

Apparently, at the Malazan BBQ, Illy and other sneaky members, went looking in Hetan and Mals house for Dust of Dreams info (or was it TTH back then), they even tried searching the computer, but they found nothing.
Secret information is secret.
Personally, If I was an advanced reader, I would have made some remarks about the choices in the endings of RG and TTH, but I guess it is a case of Trust in Erikson, Erikson is good, Erikson is a just a benevolent god!

.
It's astounding how quickly he writes.
If I were an advance reader, i'd leave mysterious(but not spoilerific) quotes in my sig

Usually the books come out first in Europe. But I believe there was some talk of the US slowly catching up.

Already this close to completion? Damn, looks like a good time to get pre-ordering.
@Skywalker: just read that, was pretty funny. I'm tempted to take a look at his book now, too.

Regardless, I think European publishers are faster in general. George R. R. Martin's books come out in Europe about a month before in the US, despite him being American. For huge releases like Harry Potter they can coordinate the release dates better. I think the Malazan series is now pretty much caught up in the US, but the books will still be released about a month later.
