Damn, the man can write fast.
I have no excuses, least of all for God. Like all tyrants, he is not worthy of the spit you would waste on negotiations. The deal we have is infinitely simpler – I don't call him to account, and he extends me the same courtesy.

So start saving your pennies and order it from the UK! They make a better put-together book anyway. ;)

Snazzy. Hope it's good. This is the 'big buildup' one, isn't it? Next year should be an awesome year for fantasy.

Has anyone heard anything about ICE's next novel? Title or hoped for publication date? Wonder if it's about the Tyrant or Assail? or BOTH? ;)

Bakker, Lynch, Rofthuss, Abercrombie, Butcher, are all putting out new books next year (well, Butcher is a once-a-year guy), and there's still hope for Martin too. There's a few others too, but those are the ones that spring to mind.

Thanks for the news Pat! I love the rate at which SE keeps churning these books out! Looks like DoD will beat out ADwD by my calcs, though I wonder what the odds would be? Can't wait for Stonewwielder either!

Eeeexcellent. I can see it now. Hot, lazy summer days, cold drinks from the beach-bar by the sea, tanned, skimpy-bikini clad bodies....oh dear....for once I believe the book will be playing second fiddle.

If we're talking about the other epic releases.... it would be remiss not to include the final book in The Wheel of Time, which should be out next year.

Oh, WoT has good and bad about it, but I still like it and want to see the series finished.

Not sure if anyone here likes Janny Wurts but her Wars of Light and Shadow series (which is taking FOREVER to get written) is something I like too. Not sure on the next book. She's fallen into my Martin category lately. I get tired of him and his reasons for not publishing his next book. I just kinda gave up reading that series until the whole damn thing is done (15 years from now) and I will start again at Game of Thrones.

Ugh I read all the other WoT books so Ill read the last one, by another writer.
As for martin Ill wait a while, I like his books but it takes so long even after he promised it wouldnt take more than a few months.

Writers should learn from Erikson, huge books always released very fast. I like it, cant wait for Dust of Dreams.
