Hi warren,
first of all, i might be wrong because english is not my first language, so anyone, feel free to correct me.

Felisin (the one we first met in the chain of dogs, who was in the otataral prison) indeed became the "new" Shaik, accepting to become the new vessel's of the whirlwind's goddess vengeance. As for Felisin younger, she is a child who the new Shaik ( aka Felisin) adopted and then renamed (forgot her original name, if it was ever mentionned) to Felisin when she accepted to be Shaik. I believe only Heboric call her "younger", since he is the only one who knew the "original" Felisin. As for everyone else, the adopted child (the one hiding in the glade) is just named Felisin.

Hope i answered your question without confusing you even more! Again, feel free to correct me or write your question in other words if i did not answer it!

Gabriel

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

reputation doesnt actually do much, its just a wya of showing someone that you liked there post, or they found a good point in the books.

Could be said that the younger Felisin is somekind of cast-off from her former self as in when she was "resurrected" as being the rebel leader Shaiik but was somehow 'split' into two different entities; one posses the rebel spirit but also being independant of the Raraku prophecy- another suttle reflection that hints a gods mortality, two entities for one? Oponn (god of chance) may be lurking, hope that provides a little more clarity. Refer to earlier books to see if you can find these patterns:angel:

I agree....There is definitely something of the Elder Felisin in the Younger Felisin...
Felisin Younger seems to have somewhat the warm, confiding, and/or needful/dependent relationship with Heboric not unlike the Elder Felisin in the early days of the Otataral Mines. Also, Heboric seems very emotionally attached to, and protective of the Younger Felisin...If she were just any orphan I doubt this would be so...

Also add into that how the older Felision picked up her mother's poetry hobby, and you get a weird chain of passing-down-ness...

Chain is a very well used word when speaking about a SE's plot line, I think....
