Boy and Bear were AMAZING, so glad I went tonight, one of the best concerts I've been to.

Went to see a friend's play yesterday, "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum." Aside from a barrel of laughs, she was dressed as a Roman hooker. With a lash and a corset. Best 28 bucks I ever spent

I have had a day of mostly aimless, completely random, and very weird conversations. It's does you good once in a while to just turn the brain off and type/say whatever.

(Though only with people who aren't going to think you're too crazy, of course...)

Mr PigDog was back home in Wales this weekend. He had a school reunion last night and disappeared off the text radar from 8.30pm to about midday when I got the following text message: "Got home a 7am. Hungover". He has a 4hour train journey home now. Hee hee.

And it's a wonderfully British day of drizzle for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee pageant. Can't wait to see everyone drenched.

Have you got the extra day for Her Madge in Oz? Best enjoy it, it's the last extra day we'll get until she carks it and you'll get nothing if you're back home.

...wait, do you mean an extra day on top of the regular Queen's Birthday long weekend? Because that's just nuts. Otherwise I don't get the second half of your post, seeing as we get Queen's Birthday long weekend every year...

And bank holiday, HAH! I'm working tomorrow. The bank never takes a holiday. XD

EDIT: Huh. Seems you guys do get two days off in a row. That's just ludicrous.

We had an extra day for the wedding last year and another for the Jubilee this year - 4 day weekends in other words! Best reason to have a royal family I can think of!

I got a gift for the weekend, a t-shirt saying "Thanks for the day off" which is just what I wanted for this whole mess.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

This is an actual site. Poor Apt must write them strongly worded letters everyday.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

No time off for me, despite being in a Commonwealth country, but I'll live...I guess.
I did have an awesome day with the family though, my cousin had a baby boy and it was his baptism today. The baptism itself was fine (the kid didn't froth at the mouth, speak in tongues or spit up pea soup so I suppose it was a success) but the feast we had afterwards, oh my goodness. Six courses, including five different desserts; we were at the resto for close to four hours! I'm so full that just the idea of food is grossing me out but it was such a great day.

Took my old magic the gathering cards down to the card shop yesterday. Sold them all for a thousand bucks. I am currently using the cash to plan a "weekend" beach getaway for teh ladyfriend and I on thus/fri (weekend cause it's her days off this week.). I'm pretty sure that after this trip I am one of the very few men that can actually say that magic cards led me to sexytimes.

I think you would be more correct to say that giving up magic cards got you laid, same as young people around the world
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

Got off my lazy ass today, and cycled the few miles (rather than drive) to play a game of 6-a-side soccer. Scored a beautiful volleyed goal as well. Well happy with myself.

Need to keep my new fitness schedule going in my attempt to drop some serious weight. Dropped about 3kgs in the last month.
