Not funny. I'm posting from a Gamblers Anonymous meeting right now. We're taking a break so everyone can check today's scores.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Twelve month review for my op went fine! (OK, so it's been sixteen months, but who's counting?)
Have to have a two year review because of the type of benign tumour (some sort of rare weird one that can reoccur, though it's still unlikely) and an MRI scan just to double check everything - but presuming the scan is fine, I get discharged next year!

That is lovely news! Hope everything goes just as well at the next checkup!

Dammit. I agreed to spend another 2 x 28 days here in the rehab. The bastards keep teaching me things I need to know.
Goes in the happy thread because if I didn't need it, I wouldn't be here. I try to repeat that to myself as often as possible.

Fuck that's funny. I almost spit diet caffeine free ginger ale onto the monitor.
Considering showing that to my counselor but they'd probably take my internetz privileges away for a week.

Oh man! So excited!
EDIT: Holy crap, there's a new DEFTONES album out today too?
My wallet.
EDIT2: ....and ALL SAINTS? Wait...ALL SAINTS are still together? The hell?

Forget those bands QT, 65daysofstatic announced the launch of their No Man's Sky album (as in the upcoming space game)! I love this band so freaking much and I can't wait for the album (as well as the game!) Furthermore, Haken's new album is less than a month away!
Also making me happy is I have sorted out and uploaded my Iceland photo's again. Such a stunning country. Though I am annoyed I know nothing about white balance and had the camera on the wrong settings for a while...

I should note, I have no interest in buying an All Saints album...I just noted that they brought a new one out and I had no idea they were even still a band.
But Deftones and M83 I'm all over.
I shall look into this No Man's Sky album of which you speak. Thanks for the recco

Yeah I'm excited. There have been three preview tracks released for the deftones album, and all have been great. They are doing a lot of fantastic things melodically, especially with Chino's vocals. It's crazy this band isn't just still so exceptional at what they do, but still evolving.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Not only have I survived to the weekend, but I'm also done the work that's due Monday already. Not quite on top of my to-do list (it's enormous and growing), but at least not falling too fa behind, and keeping on top of deadlines.
Plus I get to go home on time, and tonight's one of the days I swim.

If you don't know 65dos I'd be interested in what you think of them. The NMS album won't be out till near the release of the game but they have a bunch of other albums out.

Slow day at the rehab. Also snow day.
So we 'borrowed' some trays from the cafeteria and went sledding.
Who gets caught? Me. Who gets yelled at? The fella with me. Why? 'Cause they don't think the guy wearing the leg braces is stupid enough to get on a cafeteria serving tray and slide down a hill that has a rock wall at the bottom.
They drastically underestimate my stupidity.

A got an upright piano yesterday.
For free!!!
It's an old primary school one that was getting ditched. I rescued it and now its sitting in my dining room!
So while I can't play the piano for shit, my music theory is a whole lot better than it was, so I've just been messing around building some chords and trying out different inversions of them. Wasn't long before I was transposing some guitar songs into piano chords and having a blast.
I love it!!
For anyone who knows about this kind of shit, it's a Daneman upright acoustic piano.
The lady at the school assured me it were "well priced" when bought, so I might have gotten a bargain!!
However, it's tired and needs a good cleaning and probably some restoration work (slight vibration buzz happening around the middle section of the keyboard).
But for my limited abilities, it sounds good enough.
I imagine my partner will want to get it "Jazzed up" and can't wait to see what it looks like when I come back from Italy in June!!
Also, still got a week at home. Yey!!
Parenthood and chill!!

Come on man, the LCBO never has that!
I MUST KNOW WHERE!

You can buy it at the state run liquor stores here. And I suspect I might have one or two while in Japan. It's an excellent grain whisky, though I still prefer the japanese single malts.

Hmmm, our liquor is run by the province in LCBO stores, and so Abyss would have the same options as me. I'd love to try it.
They have Nikko in stock, but just the pure malt whiskey, not the coffey grain.
