My wife makes me happy, which I reckon is a good thing as far as marriages go. We spent a long week-end at our cabin and drank lots of delicious alcohol and ate lots of delicious food. Sarah baked cookies, read dune and played her guitar, whereas I finished a book, fed the fire and cooked.

It was hard going back to work.

Dragon Age Inquisition is awesome... I gave it 9/10, which is the best score I've ever given anything. Gonna go play some more now and rejoice at the thought of you bastards having to wait another week!

Me ad the wife saw Lee Mack live in Edinburgh last night. He was superb and i would recommend anyone to see him if you get the chance.

Just had a relatively low-stress set of days at work (three all in a row!) and I'm catching up with a couple of friends over the weekend. Work today might have been twelve hours long, but it doesn't matter, weekend for sleeping and relaxing.

What a coincidence - my current training is learning to audit ISO 9001 and 13485 Quality Management Systems! Primarily for medical device manufacturers but I have had to do a bit of regular stuff so was practising on a company that runs IT systems for a county council earlier this week.

Yeah, fun it really isn't and I'm very glad it won't be my full time job. Getting out and meeting lots of people and seeing loads of different business is alright although being an auditor is a weird experience as people are always nervous when they talk to you.

Auditing ISO 9001 is about 30% of my job. But because we don't manufacture anything it can be difficult to interpret sometimes. Thankfully it is also pretty easy to audit against one you understand it.

I went from Quality Assurance, which was very unpopular, to Interanal Audit, which makes it seem like I was giving away cake and money in the old job... thick skin comes as standard. I don't know 13485 though, from the number I guess it's fairly specialised.

When I was spamming in Fanta-flavoured mushrooms I never thought I would be discussing Environment and Quality MS on the same board a decade later...
