I crawled out of bed this morning when it was still dark and cold and spent the probably most beautiful Winter day in London this year at Kew Gardens. I arrived shortly after they had opened, a reasonable amount of snow (for Britain) covered the whole grounds and there were not many people yet. I enjoyed the few quiet and peaceful hours before lunch time and more visitors came along... and suddenly snowmen popped up like mushrooms all over.
Here attached is the tiniest and funniest snowman and some vistas of the winter wonderland that Kew turned into.

And 70 or so miles to your west in Wiltshire, I'm hating the snow. However your pictures, which are quite lovely, have postponed my WAR ON SNOW for a short while.

I am happy because I've just bought a guitar on ebay for a song. Having just missed out on a few recently I am feeling rather pleased with myself, and lady luck of course.

Don't wait for too long with your war on snow. by the time you're geared up it may already be gone!
but are they worth preserving?

Perhaps British TV is lying to me, but don't Brits ENJOY snow because they don't get it very often? I mean, doesn't it usually come down as rain...so when it's snow at least that's something different than the rain?

I dunno, I'm from Canada so snow is just part of life, for between 4-6 months we are coated in it to varying degrees.

But then, perhaps us Colonials are made of sterner stuff.

:( (just kidding)

The Harbaughl?? *groan*

Judging by the way the Ravens played I think we can win this one, as I think 49ers D is much better than the Pats. Gonna be ultra tense though...

Went for a swim today, second time since I've gotten a membership. Didn't go as insanely hard as last time, allowed me to do more laps without being completely dead when I was done. It feels good to finally get some exercise in again.

It's to take care of my mom who underwent surgery last week.

My dad had that and this week of and now I'm taking my turn.

What's making me happy that she's home for a week now and things are going quite ok.

I have an interview confirmed with CapGemini! And possibly another one after that for someone else! Things are looking up!
