It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

SBS has stopped working on my TV completely but it's okay. I just discovered that you can stream the final of Eurovision live online. Guess who'll be getting up at 5am? :)

Music festival (plain old rock for old farts plus a few newer acts), three days in Aachen, Germany, and thursday's Nouvelle Vague concert (softcore porno show was a bit too much at the start), but wow, it was great?

My concert last night was awesome. Had a really good time. :)

Also, I hate shopping. Absolutely HATE IT. And I hate shopping for clothes more than any other form of shopping but a good friend of mine is getting married on the 9th of June so I needed a new wedding appropriate dress. I also know my friend has this image of the wedding where all the ladies are in full length gowns and the men are wearing vests and jackets etc so knowing that there wasn't much choice about the kind of dress I had to find (not because my friend expected or demanded to have it that way but because I'm hardly going to disregard my friend's hopes for her wedding day.) Anyways, hate shopping and I hate spending money on clothes. So I wasn't looking forward to it. I must have picked up some good karma somewhere though because the first store I went to had several dresses that fitted exactly what I wanted plus several other dresses that I just liked a lot. In the end I bought three dresses, including the one for the wedding, and because they were having a sale I got all three dresses for less than I expected to pay for one dress. It was awesome. Still hate shopping but now I can hate it whilst wearing my nice new dresses :)

My store won't work for you, unfortunately.

STORYTIME! I remembered a dress store at Mount Ommaney that Lala went to once and so I figured it was as good a place as any to start. Matador and I got there and they were having a sale. We found a heap that i liked but there weren't many sale items left in Large. I found a few and tried one on and it was HEAPS too big. So I got a medium and it was too big and then a small and it was too big (by now I was thinking 'WTF?). Then I tried an extra small and it fitted. I was like 'I know I've been exercising but I sure as hell haven't gone from a 12/14 to an 8 in the last month. So I kept trying on extra smalls and found three dresses that were reduced by about 70% or something (end of season sale, I think) and bought them. It wasn't until I left that I noticed that the store was signed as being a Size 14+ store. So I now have a new plan when it comes to buying dresses. Instead of trying to squish my boobs into dresses in standard stores I'm going to go to 14+ stores and try on all the extra smalls :)

Had one of those randomly unexpectedly brilliant weekends where you see lots of different friends and everyone is on really good form. It's one of those times that remind you it's good to be alive.
