I need a new suit for my son's wedding in Helsinki next month so it is off to Cheshire Oaks on a Saturday morning (nearest outlet mall to me and also closest to Merseyside) - so worst possible day for parking, people etc. Drive straight into a parking space, no queueing - about 20 feet from Jaeger shop. Find a reasonably good suit with correct jacket size AND correct waist AND correct inside leg within 5 minutes. Result.

I'm going to the high school where they filmed Dead Poets Society! And the school is awesome.

They've just left now, but had one of my best friends and her cool husband over for the weekend from Melbourne.
Was soo good to catch up with them, hadn't seen either since their wedding.
Had great fun

It's Sunday, and the most activity I have to do involves stuffing clothes in the washing machine

"Sir, you are drunk!"
"Yes madam, I am, but in the morning I will be sober, and you will still be ugly."

But what's really making me happy is Hyperion. Finally reading it, and loving it.

Outstanding day, firstly a great church meeting followed by mounds of food at some great friends house. Now, Mrs tiste is sleeping and I have chance to listen to some fantastic metal and read Neil Gaiman's Sandman graphic novels!

I ran into my ex tonight.
I was hilarious.
I had to save her from a drunk italian dude.
But he bought both of us 2 drinks.
So no hard feelings.

Saw this ages ago in the uni post office of all places, and thought it was hilarious, especially for how random it was. Promptly forgot about it, then found the pic again on my phone tonight.

He was more of a Perfect Human being Loki. This cannot be understated. Captain Picard is simply the incarnation of all that is right. Everyone should strive to be him.
