This movie was shot in around my home town, and so it was a big deal in Canada when it came out. I didn't care much for it. But my buddy who is in the film industry (who at the time was in Film School), relishes in taking me to task for not liking it and his argument is always "But it's about a girl named Ginger...and she SNAPS!" Which to this day makes me chuckle a bit with the fervor he loves the film.

I got my copy of The Witcher 2, and it's installing as we speak. Plus if I budget things properly this week I may be able to get Diablo 3 as well (instead of having to wait until next month like I orginally thought).

Back from my holiday in Prague (), as I am dead tired, I now have my own bed to relax in (yeey). Special highlight: dinner at a tasting restaurant (7 courses, 7 amuse bouches, 7 glasses of wine, and an explanation of each course by the restaurant staff). Yummy.

I had a pre-graduation award ceremony tonight.
The nicest girl in my class got a bunch of scholarships, and it made me happy.
Another girl who is awesome got a huge (3000 a year) scholarship.
I got a little one from the rotary club, and when I talked to the guy after the ceremony, he talked to me about my essay and asked what genre I write. When I said fantasy, he said it was his favorite, he was a dnd nerd, and he still loves to read.
Was a pretty nice night

This reading gig thing tonight in Northcote went splendidly well! Had to leave early and miss out on the free wine but it was such an artsy sort of function and completely different so I hope I can do it again sometime
