Gave in. Finally applied for the Masters/PhD. Probably going to get denied, but at least an attempt. Need out of this blackhole of blah.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I had some really awful news today. came here to get away from it and I've just been reminded of how incredibly supportive everyone here is. while not exactly happy, it's restored in me a wee bit of faitg in the world. you guys are awesome.

The water pipe leak that was supposed to be in my appartment, isn't in my appartment. It is with 95% certainty positively guaranteed that it concerns the cold water supply, which is pumped upwards, and since my app is dry, it can't be me but the leak must be below my app. Yeey.

Mrs. QT and I are finally getting out tonight to see the latest Earth Day DisneyNature offering CHIMPANZEE (we saw AFRICAN CATS last year). This makes me super happy because Mrs. QT does not care for most documentaries (meanwhile I adore documentaries), but I have gotten her to watch most of the Alistair Fothergill stuff (PLANET EARTH), and therefore every Earth Day (or thereabouts) I am able to get her out to see the DisneyNature docs...and I think she REALLY liked AFRICAN CATS since this year SHE suggested the outing to ME!

Mark your calendars, it's a red letter day. Mrs. QT asked if we could go see a Documentary!

Went to see the Avengers with Flick, found two of my friends in the cinema who are moving thirty minutes by train and a £30 return ticket away on Saturday in there so could catch them before they left twice instead of just their leaving party, really enjoyed the movie, was the only person who recognised the dude in the mid-credits scene, then went to a pub with chicken wings on the menu. Flick didn't think I could eat the thirty wing option. She was most surprised. Especially when a few hours later I passed by a KFC and ordered a regular two piece meal, and got two more bits of chicken and another portion of fries for free. It's been a really good day today.

Next time? The 50 wings option. I HUNGER

Ironically enough what's making me happy is that it finally stopped pissing down rain here, hehehe. It was pouring all day yesterday and most of today and then at around 2, ahhhhhhh, sunshine. So my walk home was very pleasant indeed, even if I did look like a bit of an idiot wearing rain boots when everything was dry.
