Just got promoted as well as receiving a merit-based raise. Best Monday Ever!
Monsignor:...Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.
Connor: [as the brothers exit the church] I do believe the monsignor's finally got the point.

Veggie spring rolls and Thai broccoli chicken stir-fry for dinner tonight! Those spring rolls are like crack.

Also, going to see the brilliantly funny Irish stage play GOOD MOURNING MRS. BROWN (I nearly bust a gut at HOW NOW MRS. BROWN COW last November), so I am very excited!

I set my copy of The Crippled God on the floor for a minute while I had to help someone, and my puppy began chewing up the corner. When I caught him I was initially mad, but then I realized how appropriate it was to have a copy that went through a little mangling.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Life is good right now. Considering I was in crisis mode in a lot of different ways only months ago, it's pretty nice.

Also, making the Hall of Fame thread has motivated me to post more on the forums, and not lurk quite as badly as I have been. Forum members are like ents. When new, they post a lot and are very active. As they have been around longer though, they start slowing down. It gets to the point where they only stir from time to time, and you hardly ever hear from them, until thjey are just gone. I feel like an old ent on an active cycle.

Also also, burritos.

Also Also Also, this picture of Raymond Luxury Yacht I'm using for my avatar. I hadn't seen or used this particular shot before, which is fun. I'd been on other avatars for a while, it's nice to get back to a RLY one.

Pancakes. And a successful-feeling interview. The only thing that could have made the day any better is bacon but alas, I shall have to do without.

I laughed so hard at this that I nearly cried:

I feel slightly abused right now. I was just told that I could have some more butt for the second day in a row by my lovely(bitch) ex wife, IF I gave her $10 for gas to come over. LMAO She seemed to really want the gas though as I told her no. She decided to play dirty and say she was coming over anyway to see the kids...So I figured what the hell.

Thank you. And you really need to stop hittin' that, dude. It ain't worth the crazy.

Don't worry, it'll grow back. You can take my word for that.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

But should it not grow back, you can always build yourself a replacement appendage made of bacon.
"But I saw you [Snake]…faced by Anomander [Mandy] himself. How did…"
"I escape? Well, I dazzled him with fancy words, edging ever closer, then used my ninja skills to strike like a cobra, knocking the sword [Spamnipur] away and drop-kicking him over the side before tumbling backwards, slaying another Piss'd Andii on the way."
Silence. Lots of silence. "Fine!" He shrugged and grinned, "Someone hit him in the face with a coin, and he cursed just long enough for me to get away." ~ Excerpt from Gardens of the Tea Spoon

They call it a pork sword for a reason.

It adds a whole new level of meaning to oiling your sword

Everyone likes a bit of pork loin, it's true.
