Have just consumed tasty hot chocolate as a reward for my evening of sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming and tidying. It has been harder than usual to keep our place respectably clean, what with an extra person staying with us until he can find a place to rent (his previous place of residence was inundated in the recent biblical Queensland floods).

I heard from my aunt who lives up north finally - she made it through the Yasi alright - her house only got minor damage, the yard looks like a bombsight though. She only got access to a phone yesterday.

FOOTBALL IS BACK ON FRIDAY!!!! Well, the NAB cup but still! I can't wait to see Cloke and Tarrant on the same team - I'll probably die from too much sexiness!

So I was all geared up to go to the Erikson book signing in Manchester when I realised I was already gonna be there to spend time with my girlfriend! Argh, can't really go to a geekfest when I hardly see her. I mentioned it to her & just said "Doesn't really matter I'd rather spend the time with you!" She replied "No you have to go I know how much this means to you! I'll come with you as well if you want!"

Am organising my uni timetable for this semester, and looks like I'll have both Wednesday and Friday off. Should make getting another job easier. There'll be much more work outside of class - assessments, weekly readings etc. - than I've ever had though. It's my final year though, that was always going to happen.

I shouldn't be allowed near my computer when I'm drunk. I really shouldn't.

On the other hand, sometimes it spawns hilarity. Like when I woke up today to find that Drunk Me had started a bunch of torrents that I could NEVER find sober. Drunk Me also lent my new-ish 500GB external hard drive to a friend so he could dump a bunch of ISOs to it. FORGETTING TOTALLY that it is filled, primarily, with my digital unmentionables.
